My father-in-law will be moving into The Plaza at Waikiki. It was conveniently located to the beach, Korean markets, and Korean churches. The facility was very new and clean. The staff was kind and very helpful. The place was well maintained.

I like the location of The Plaza at Waikiki. I like the rooms. I get to see some of the rooms. The two people that I had interaction with were very informative. They knew what they were talking about. I like the staff.

The Plaza at Waikiki is a nice place and closer to town. The equipment and the place are newer, and I want to be close to my family, that's why I chose it. They serve three meals a day. The staff seems very nice and competent. I feel like I will be taken care of there. The food was not quite what I'm used to, but I think I'll get used to it. I'm Asian, and I prefer Asian food. They do have some, but it's not entirely Asian food. It's very expensive.

The Plaza at Waikiki is new and very clean, but they don't have a patio. The activities are pretty good. They have field trips to different places, and a theater where they show movies with popcorn. They need to lower their price, though. The experience was great. The amount of money is prohibitive, plus they raise their prices every year.

The Plaza at Waikiki was a very nice place. It's like a hotel, and it's very appealing. It's very good. The rooms were very nice, and each room has a view. It's like a daycare. They have activities, and they have a theater, a barber shop, a terrace where they have get-togethers with family, and they have barbecues and things like that. They also have very good food, which is restaurant quality, and families are welcome. The activities depend on the floor the resident is staying on.

The Plaza at Waikiki was very expensive but very nice. The apartments were nice. Everything was nice. The staff was very friendly. Everything went well. The food was very bland, though. The residents looked happy and not bored because it's in a resort area. It's a very nice community, and we're quite impressed with it. The thing that was so impressive was the barbecue area. It was very nice. The dining area was nice, nothing exceptional. What I didn't like about the apartments was that you couldn't open the windows. The people were really nice and very accommodating. The rooms were well designed and there was more closet space.

My husband was at The Plaza at Waikiki for 2 weeks. He was not very happy there because he felt the food was bland. The staff took very good care of their residents and was very patient with my husband. The surroundings were fine. There were long hallways and the rooms were locked. All the doors had to be locked and there's a locked entryway, so you can only get in and out when the door is opened by one of the staff members.

The Plaza at Waikiki is very quiet and you don't hear the traffic. It was good, very clean, and it was a nice place to visit. The staff was very nice. I thought it was a little bit too expensive, especially because you had to share a room with somebody else. The person who gave us the tour was very good, nice, and very knowledgeable.

The exercise room and the place where they receive physical training in The Plaza at Waikiki looked well-stocked with whatever they needed. I think there’s very limited space where they are located. Maybe that is why their rooms are small; even their gathering room is quite small.

The Plaza at Waikiki was in a middle of the city, so it wasn't quite as nice. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. We talked to one lady, and she was very nice and helpful.

The Plaza at Waikiki seemed very nice, professional, and comfortable. The model studio apartments seemed very nice, and everything looked comfortable, peaceful, and clean. The staff seemed very friendly, had a nice philosophy of care with the "best friend approach," and seemed well informed by research.

The Plaza at Waikiki was a very nice place, but the rooms were very small. The rental was month by month, and we would have to get three meals per day. The location wasn’t great.

The Plaza at Waikiki is a fairly new building. It’s not even 2 years old, so everything is fresh and clean. The service is good, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The meals are good. They have good activities like their music programs and their movies. Sometimes, they have communities come in like school children.

The Plaza was fine and easy enough to get to, but it was the most expensive. The staff was caring and nice. They had scheduled activities all of the time. I think they had a physical therapy section and an entertainment area, like a playroom.

BEAUTIFUL! This place is like a hotel. I went to visit an aunty who has been living there for over a year and I was blown away by the staff friendliness and the tasty food. We're looking to move my mother in, and hopefully within the next year she'll be ready to make the decision to move in. The daily activities are stimulating and fun, and the sales staff answered all of our questions. If you have a chance to look out the windows in the apartments, the view will blow you away!

I’ve been living at The Plaza for around two months. It’s a nice place, and they have very nice people. They have a theater where they show movies in the evening. The food is fattening and very salty, but it is very good. They have very good desserts after lunch and after dinner. They have a bus, and they take you out. I have a small apartment. The staff is very friendly and very nice.

We visited The Plaza at Waikiki. They wanted to know how much we could pay because they didn't take any insurance. Then they said she had to leave in two years if she didn't get any. The people were fine and nothing special, just fine. We didn't look at the rooms because they weren't interested in having her. The facility is brand new. The initial information that I got did not satisfy me to the point that I was going to go in and ask them more questions.

The Plaza was nice, but for the amount of money they were asking, the service was not worth it. It’s brand new, the rooms were small, and the staff was very nice. If you can afford it, that’s a wonderful place.

The Plaza is nice but a little small for my parents. It felt very confined but nice and well maintained.
Provider Response
Hi Happy Daughter17; Thank you for visiting our community! I'm glad you feel The Plaza at Waikiki was nice and well-maintained, but am sorry that you felt the size of our apartments are too small for your parents. As a licensed assisted living community, our apartments are actually quite comparable to the larger units in other assisted living communities on the island. We have quite a few happy couples currently living in our community, and while priorities vary from resident to resident, we find that residents quickly overcome any concerns about usable square footage, and appreciate all of our common areas and amenities as an extension of their apartments. Thanks again for your comments!

The Plaza at Waikiki is brand new, and it is in the heart of Waikiki. It is a very desirable location. The negatives are it is too industrial for my taste, and it is extremely expensive because it is in the heart of the city. The staff is always nice. We check a couple of the rooms, and they are nice. They have studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. The studio is more on my price range.
