We visited the Country Meadows of Hershey. It was a very lovely facility with a lot of amenities. They have art and painting, they have a library and they do exercises. They gave us a wrap sandwich as a sample of their food, and it was a very nice sandwich. I don't think that the people were eating wrap sandwiches that day, it was just their attempt to let us taste their food. The staff members were very pleasant and very helpful, any question that you asked, they would go out of their way to attempt to answer it. The thing that I like the least about them is the price because it's one of the more expensive facilities. The thing that I like the best was the physical aspect of the facility. I liked the building the best.

We toured the Country Meadows of Hershey and they were very friendly. My parents just loved the environment and felt very at home there. It was clean. All of the staff, not just the staff that was giving us the tour, was very friendly. They were respectful, too. There were nurses there to take care of the situation in a very quick, efficient, and professional manner. And then they just went back to their daily routine. It was very, very nice. I would say my parents would give them a five because there was a dog park. They also have a fitness room, a salon, and therapies there.

My mother is gonna be moving into Country Meadows of Hershey. It's very homey. It's small. The person that we spoke to was very informative and very helpful. We were there for two-and-a-half hours and she showed us everything and gave us a whole bunch of information on pricing. I talked to the residents, and they offered their insight on how they like living there without even asking them any questions. Everything seemed really clean and well taken care of, and everybody seemed really friendly. The apartment that we were shown for my mom was very close and accessible to the elevator, so she didn't have to walk very far with her walker. Everything just seemed really close. The local grocery store, local pharmacy, or Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Health Medical Group, family practice, and other giant food store, and Fulton Bank are all within the area. There's Hershey Playhouse right across the driveway there that the residents can go or preview plays before they're actually shown at the Hershey Community Theater. The prices were actually a little bit less than the other ones that we had checked into, and they seemed to have the same or more amenities that were included in the cost. The main thing was everybody seemed so really friendly, and it seemed more like a home environment for my mom versus any type of nursing care facility or something like that. The apartment was very nice and newly renovated. It had a fairly decent-sized kitchen and U-shaped design. It had a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a full-sized range, a place to put a countertop microwave, and a walk-in closet with a full-sized washer and dryer along with the shelves there. The sitting area/living room area was a decent size. The bedroom was off of the living room closed off by French doors with a 12-foot of wall-to-wall closet space. The bathroom had a real low threshold walk-in shower and had lots of grab bars. It's equipped with medical alert devices if my mom would need to get in touch with somebody. When they get up in the morning up until 11:30, they have to notify the front desk that they're up and about, and if they don't hear from the resident by 11:30, they personally go to their apartment to check to make sure that they're OK. Everything just seemed very nice. They had their own private chef that prepares all the meals there, and he's open to suggestions from the residents if they would like him to prepare a special type of meal. If the resident doesn't like the meal that they're having that day, there are numerous other options for them to choose from at no additional cost or anything. The dining area was very nice with very comfortable tables. Everything is brought to the table for the people. It's not like a buffet-style where you have to get your food. They actually bring it to you, which helps, especially people who get around with walkers. They have a snack bar area that's available 24-hours a day, seven days a week where they can get drinks, different types of snacks, and ice cream. There's a library and a mail delivery room, and they're all relatively close to the elevator as far as accessing them. They have an outside patio deck with tables for the residents. Everything looked really clean. They take care of maintenance, linen service, and housekeeping every week. Everything was spotless. The staff was very informative, very polite, very personable, and everybody was very friendly. She spent two-and-a-half hours with us going over everything, answering any questions we had, talking to the residents as they were walking by, and she knew all the residents by name. I had seen the receptionist and another office person there, and they all seemed very friendly. From what I could see from the outside and inside, the appearance, the safety protocols as far as grab bars and things like that, and their protocol for COVID, I would give them a five-star rating.

My mother has been at Country Meadows Hershey going on 6 years now. The entire staff from Director to aids are the most compassionate people I have ever met. They are in contact with me and my wife with the slightest issue keeping us informed and listening to our input on care issues. The staff knows her name and I believe every residents name. This shows me their commitment to the residents. Place yourself or your loved ones there and feel assured they will provide care as you would for your loved ones. We are placing my wife's parents there for their care now.

I am going to Country Meadows - Hershey. It felt homey there. I felt comfortable. I just felt like there was a lot for me in that place. The staff was very friendly, very nice, very helpful, and accommodating. I liked it very much. I haven't tried the food yet, but the menu looked very nice. They had an outside space, and it was in a very nice area. There were a lot of walking paths and benches to sit on. They had a full kitchen, a refrigerator, a microwave, a stove, a washer, and a dryer.

I liked Country Meadows of Hershey very much. It was very nice. They had two buildings with a nice exercise room and several dining areas with happy hour. However, I didn't feel that comfortable there. The studio apartment was a little bit bigger, and there were more amenities. You can have a small dog or a cat. The staff I met was very friendly and very nice. The menu looked fantastic. It was a beautiful place. They had a bistro as well, which was really nice.
