Cogir of Fremont Senior Living had a resort hotel feeling. It's very large and spacious. It seemed like they had a lot of activities there. The staff was helpful. Two different people helped us, but not at the same time.

I thought the ambiance at Cogir of Fremont Senior Living was great. There was a lot of energy there, more so than in other communities. They had a lot of different activities, and it seemed like the seniors participated in them, which is not the case everywhere. They have a nice dining hall with a lot of options and a menu that changes. The quality of the food is not amazing, but it's pretty good. The rooms are nicely laid out. They are in the process of remodeling. They had a lot of really great amenities. When my grandmother is ready to move in, I think this is where she would like to go. It's a perfect independent living facility, and they do have some assisted living available for folks who want to move into it. The tour staff is very sweet and helpful.

When I went to Cogir of Fremont Senior Living, I had such a good feeling about it. I liked the lady that showed me around and that they had a lot of different rooms. There's a big library, a big outdoor area where they have little parties, and a garden where the residents can have a section for themselves to do gardening. Everything was very quiet, which was very much of a priority for my stepmom. She likes it that way. They have a movie room, classes, as well as an indoor swimming pool for exercise. They serve nice meals and they have all the services that you would need that you can opt in or out of. It's in a neighborhood, so it's not on a busy street. You could go and walk around and there are lots of big trees. It's kind of an older place, but the rooms were nice and they allow you to have a pet.

I loved Cogir of Fremont Senior Living very much. It was great. The meals were very good. The staff was professional, helpful, and supportive. It was clean, well cared for, and well-groomed. I looked at a one-bedroom unit, and it was very nice and very comfortable. It had a full kitchen, a large bathroom, and a closet. Everything was well done. The bathrooms had support rails, so it was nicely laid out. We saw an activity where they were making Memorial Day decorations for their apartments. We saw an exercise going on. People were out by the swimming pool. People were doing jigsaw puzzles. People were coming and going as they wished. There was a bus that took people to doctors' appointments, to shopping, and to excursions. They had a beautiful library that they could go to. I met the activity director, and she was delightful.

I'm going to move into Cogir of Fremont Senior Living. I didn't want to confuse myself and I did a respite there for about a week, 11 years ago. It took me that long to decide, but I'm ready to move in. I went there again and everything's changed so much. They gave me lunch and it was delicious. I didn't want to confuse myself by going somewhere else and I was very impressed with them so I'm ready to move in. One of the directors over there, while she was assisting, was the entertainment person too, and she's the one that showed us around. I went and they explained the difference in the levels of care. I am legally blind and I have to do insulin shots. They informed me that they can't do the shots themselves, but they can probably fill it in the syringe, and then I can give it to myself at a later time during the day. I'll be going to the independent for now until I lose my sight. I was very impressed with the room itself. I know that it was furnished and I have to bring my own furniture, but I was very impressed at the cleanliness. She also took us to the dining room and I had lunch there, and that was very nice of them, too. It kind of reminds me of when I went and did a respite there for a week, 11 years ago. I was still so impressed with it. There are a lot of activities and it was the activities director that showed us around. She said there's a lot of things for me to take part in, but I'm not sure if I'll do that because I'm wheelchair-bound and I had a stroke so my balance is poor. They showed me the library. I think it also doubled as an entertainment room where you can watch TV. I think they also have game tables where you can play mahjong, but I can't even see very well to be able to do that. The library was separate and the dining room was large. We had a very nice lunch and it was very light. I only took the Waldorf salad and a soup, and that was enough for me. The building itself, everything inside changed drastically from when I was there 11 years ago but it's still very clean. It's very easy to get around. I'm going to have to learn how to maneuver myself but I saw a few patients that were rolling their walkers around that had a padded seat.
