I visited The Westmore, and it was wonderful. They were very nice, and I liked the professionalism. I didn't notice anything I didn't like there. The lady was very helpful and spent a lot of the time with us. The staff was very friendly. The facility is very beautiful, clean, and has a nice environment.

The Westmore was a wonderful place. Their programs and the activities coordinator were excellent. They had top-notch employees and were very helpful. It looked like independent living. You would never know the difference because it's really pretty.

My mother was a resident of The Westmore for a couple of years. The rooms were nice. It's a large community and they had residents complaining that when the food gets to them it's too cold or wouldn't be up to par. The staff was good, I never heard a complaint about any of the staff members. The place was just really big, my mother has to walk a hundred yards to get to the dining room. It's a really nice place, and posh, they had a courtyard which is nice, and it's a pretty new community. Her room there was a little bigger than the one in her current community. You come in through the hall and you'd encounter a hallway type of kitchen, then there's the bedroom and living area, she had her own bathroom, one closet, but it was big. But with the cost, it got to a point where with everything they're helping her they want to charge them. They have preachers come in and they have church services. Also if you want to go somewhere as a group, they would take you. It's a nice place, it just became too expensive for us.

My mother is now a resident of The Westmore. She is in assisted living and she is at the highest level of care. It is a beautiful community. However, our problem has been that since Mother needs such a high level of care, their response time has been very slow. Not only that, they have emergency pull cords but they don't show you that if you need an emergency transfer that it costs extra. Mother had pushed it for 20 minutes, and it was an hour and a half before they responded. Most of the staff are nice, but other than that, I really can't say too much to it. They have a doctor that comes in twice a week, so that's nice. If the resident needs to see a doctor, then they don't have to go out. There are some really nice things about it, and it is a nice place.

The Westmore is very bright, and clean, and everyone we have met with has been exceptional. The grounds are very well kept and maintained, and its location to where there are lots of things nearby, like gas, food and residential, is a very good spot. My mother-in-law will be moving to a 498-square-foot, one-bedroom apartment that's bright and very inviting, with a large kitchen area and bathroom; every room has showers, so it's very nice. They have shopping, bingo, exercise, Bible study, a chapel, and Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. Every time we are there, they have hot coffee, hot water and fresh baked cookies available throughout the facility.

I moved into Westmore last July and love it. It's very clean, very bright, and very nice. The staff is very good; there's only one I don't like who's rude to the residents. The food and the chef are excellent. I'm living in a respite room, but I'm getting ready to move to an apartment. I like the happy hour, and the movies. The residents are very nice.
