I am/was a resident of this facility

Lexington Place is very nice place. We are going through refurbishing, new paint, new curtains, and it's very clean. We had flood problems in September and a lot of the walls had to be replaced. We're refurbishing the whole nursing center. The staff is wonderful. It's a big family. We have activities twice a day, seven days a week. We have exercises, music, question and answer sessions, bible reading, crafts, schools and churches come in and sing during the holidays, and we have church services. I also teach bible study on Tuesdays, so we stay pretty busy. We are short on help, but they're interviewing and training CNAs right now. There are plenty of halls and I am able to walk whenever I want. If anybody walks in the door, there's a nurse or a CNA out there to check them in.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I chose this facility for my mom after a friend of mine stayed for rehab. The building may be older but we have been very pleased with the care. The rehab team has worked extra hard with my mom to build her strength and all of the ladies in the offices have been so helpful in answering our medical questions. They accept Medicaid here so she will be staying. This place is ran very well and I'm glad we made this move.

I am a friend or relative of resident

Evidently I visit this facility at the wrong time. It is neither nice, nor does it smell good! The residents do not have a place to sit and visit with family and friends except in their very small, crowded rooms. The only chairs they have to sit in are wheelchairs (which are not conducive to long times in them) or they have the straight back chairs in the front part of the Nursing Home that serves as dining hall and entry. The aids have no bed side manners. Many of them have extremely long finger nails that easily cut and scratch the resident and they are many times on their cell phones on private calls instead of giving their attention to the resident. They are not friendly with the visitors and it seems to pain them to have to do anything for the persons they are there to serve. It is upsetting to me that my friend has to be a resident in this facility.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We opted to go put my parents on an actual nursing home because their Dementia and Alzheimer's is more than what a senior living place would do for them. We found a very nice nursing home named Lexington Place. They are happy, and the family is happy with this facility. They were so helpful with getting the information that we needed. They called me every day if there is any issue with either one of them. So if the doctor or the nurse practitioner sees them, they let us know. They let us know if they have any concerns or something happens, they'd give us a call. It's a lot smaller than some of the other facilities. They have a secured door front and back as well as into the patio area. If somebody goes in and they don't punch the code into it, the alarm will sound. We were allowed to bring in some of my parent's stuff to personalize their room and make it homey for them. If the residents need any type of physical therapy, they have that as well as extra-curricular activities like field trips.

I visited this facility

Everybody I met at Lexington Place was wonderful. It was a clean atmosphere. Everything was clean and smelled sanitary. I had no problem. We were at the dining hall during lunchtime. It was clean, and the food smelled and looked good. They gave me a long list of everything they do. I thought it was good enough for my mom, and not many places have I felt that.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I chose Lexington Place for my dad because they accept Medicaid and they were within 3 miles of our home. He has been there for one week. It was an older property but we liked it and the furnishings were nice and welcoming. It was clean, the food seemed pretty balanced, I never had a problem with the nurses but they lack aides and cannot control the patients sometimes.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I really liked this facility, Lexington Place. The staff were very compassionate and caring towards the individuals who stayed there. My mother received good care while staying there and I always felt that she was safe. The staff were very good at calling me at home to inform me of any changes or anything going on with my mother healthwise. They stayed on top of her meds and her medical needs and made sure the doctor was updated as needed. Anytime she had to be transferred to the hospital they were very prompt in calling an informing me. They were very safe and careful with her belongings and kept up with her things. My mother actually passed away while at this facility and the staff were very professional and caring during this time and they genuinely seemed sad to have lost my mother. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Its hard leaving a family member in the care of others but Lexington Place helped ease my worries and concerns.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My husband has young onset Alzheimer's. We chose this place because my husband wants a smaller place with few people. It has nice rooms, the facilities are not new but updated and no odor of urine or feces. The staff gives consistent care and on schedule. They are also caring and firm but compassionate when needed. There are activities that let residents mingle with each other. If there's one thing this facility needs to improve it is additional staff to help with all the patients. The stay of my husband in this nursing home has been positive.
