Stay Away! My friend went to Garden Terrace for rehab, but instead was forced in to a wheelchair. She was kept in the chair for extended hours causing a blood clot in her leg. She also developed pneumonia during the twenty days she was there. Nurses let her fall the first night she was there. Physical Therapy balked at offering her the full range of therapies and started speech therapy only after they were pressured. She missed at least a week of full PT sessions for reasons related to the PT Dept, not her. They continued to give her food that her chart noted she was allergic to. The food served in her area was barely edible. Hanging clothes along with hangers would vanish from her closet and used on other patients. Clothes belonging to others would appear in her closet...on and on. They finally resolved the clothes issue after continued pressure, but the hangers were never returned. I give the facility "1 Star" for cleanliness. It's clean and they keep the patients clean. The public areas are quite attractive and they keep refreshments for visitors. In some ways it appears nicer than other nursing homes, but it's still a nursing home, and staff have a nursing home mentality. I felt like my friend's twenty days of 100% Medicaire rehab was squandered and set her back. I know how she's responded after rehab at other places at other times and it was far superior to this. If rehab is the goal try Brookdale or FW Rehab, but don't go here.

My friend is in rehab right now at Garden Terrace. The place looks nice. They provide meals and physical therapy. It is just like any other caring place. They have decent hallways, and the rooms are different sizes, but it is nice. It seems like they do a lot of care for the residents there. They are giving my friend physical therapy. They're going to try to help her to straighten her legs. They have a variety of activities for her, too. The staff members have been nice to her; they have been nice to me, too.

Garden Terrace is a very clean, comfortable facility. Large spacious rooms with large windows, with pretty views, occur on at least 2 of the halls, in the facility. There is an Ice Cream parlor for the residents and several activities that my mother has enjoyed. The staff is very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Staffing on the weekends seems to be a little disproportionate. The staff still maintain their professionalism and obvious compassion, for both their residents and the families. My mother has spent 2 rehabs (out of 6) here and now resides here. She loves the staff and the food. We have had issues with the laundry, but from what I have experienced at other locations, this is typical. Garden Terrace may be a little more expensive than other facilities, but is well worth the extra. The staff stay on top of the medications and daily care(bathing, meals etc.) and have always seemed to try to spend the extra time to get to know their patients. I would recommend Garden Terrace, for Rehab, Skilled Long-term Nursing care and for Alzheimer's Patients.

There are more residents than staff. When i visited my mom i had to bath her,change her sheets,put away her dirty trays and trash,Trash would overfolw. I had to get lien for bathroom like towels and toliet paper every visit. Staff very rude and disrespectful

My husband stayed at Garden Terrace of Fort Worth. It was a really nice, clean place. They were attentive, and the care was good. You didn?t have to wait for whatever you needed.

They were probably the best one, but I couldn't afford it. The rooms were big, spacious, and bright. The help was really good, and they had a nurse there all the time. They were on top of everything. They provided transportation to doctor's visits. The dining room and the feeding time were very pleasant. Garden Terrace of Forth Worth was really topnotch. The staff was very good and very prompt, and they really cared about the patients. They didn't have a big turnover with the help. The people had worked there for quite a while, and that's always a big plus. She was there for rehab, but a lot of people actually ended up staying there as long as they could afford it.

Clean place, but not worth the huge cost compared to other locations. The staff smile and seem friendly, but most of their revolving low paid staff can't be bothered to even make sure the patients are fed 3 square meals. = I been lied to my face several times.

Garden Terrace was a rehab facility and they did the exercises very well. The services were good as far as the patient was concerned but they were always understaffed. When they've made up the beds, they wouldn't put sheets on it. We'd had to go look. I think the residents were taken care of. It was also an Alzheimer's unit so it's hard to tell whether they were pleased but I think they were doing okay.

My family was very disapointed in this facility. They neglected residents, didn't change therm, they sat in urine all day. They didn't shower the residents regularly and over medicated them to ,a point they were in a vege tativetive state. I would not recommend them to anyone. They also stop Medicare coverage prematurly
