Costs
Rent for assisted living and memory care communities in Fort Worth can vary widely. Monthly prices range from about $1,300 to $4,000. These rates typically include meals, housekeeping, transportation to medical appointments, shopping trips and a variety of scheduled activities.

In addition to the basic rent, communities also charge for each resident’s required levels of care. This includes bathing, grooming, dressing, lifting, medication management and a variety of other care needs. Care costs can range from $200 to $1,900 depending on the resident’s specific needs. Most communities have a staff care specialist who can help prospective residents calculate their cost of living at the community.

Fort Worth Neighborhoods
Fort Worth and the surrounding suburbs make for a comfortable assisted living environment. Many people find Fort Worth’s downtown neighborhood an ideal place to live because of its cleanliness and safety. In fact, Forbes has named the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area the 15th safest in the country.

The Museum District near the west side of Fort Worth is considered one of the city’s most tranquil and friendly neighborhoods. Several assisted living communities in this area offer average to high-end residences. On the south side of Fort Worth are Magnolia Avenue and Fairmount, two neighborhoods that feature restored homes and newly-built assisted living communities. Prices in this area are still affordable.

The neighborhoods of Arlington Heights, Monticello, North Hi Mount and Crestwood are all located about 10 minutes west of downtown. Each of these areas is home to peaceful early 20th century neighborhoods where several assisted living communities can be found.

The most well-established and affluent neighborhoods are Berkeley, Mistletoe Heights and Park Hill, located near Texas Christian University and downtown Fort Worth. These neighborhoods are made up mostly of single-family houses, but an assortment of assisted living communities dot the area.
