I visited this facility

Oak Crest was a very clean place. The problem was that they were expensive. The people were very nice, and they had nice meals, which their residents seemed to enjoy. Their rooms were very large and nice.

Oak Crest and Atrium Apartments was OK. Oak Crest was old and needed to be updated. The apartment blew me away. I loved that place. The staff was very nice. Most of the activities I saw were indoors, like arts and crafts, bingo, cards, and things of that nature. Three days a week, they have cocktail hour in their pub in the basement. They have this oversized kitchen where you can bring your entire family, make your own dinner, and sit down at the kitchen table for a family meal. It's pretty awesome over there. They gave me a walkaway with a bean soup that was very good. They had a little workout center and an outdoor deck. They had a theater room and sometimes people come in and do small skits or plays for them.

Oak Crest looked great, and the facilities were fairly new. People we spoke to were very sensitive to our needs and what we're looking for. It was just a good option. The dining room was very lovely and everything was new, modern, open, breezy, had a lot of windows and very nice. They had separate kitchen and dining areas for families if they want to have a private party, a movie theater room, wine cellar, and a number of activities for a lot of interest levels.

Oak Crest and Atrium Apartments is a really nice place that felt homey. The building is old, but it's really nice inside. The people were very nice, too. I saw people walking around and doing activities. Someone was celebrating a birthday that day and everybody was enjoying their cake.

Everything is really good at Oak Crest Residence & Atrium Apartments. We are happy in that facility. Mom is really happy staying in that facility.

The people that showed me around Oak Crest Residence & Atrium Apartments are very nice and accommodating, but there was just something about the place that didn’t appeal to me.

From Oak Crest and Atrium Apartments

Oak Crest was founded in 1904 by a group of local philanthropists who saw a need to care about older adults. The need continues and with the mission unchanged Oak Crest is now the leader in caring for adults with memory loss with the copyrighted Keeping program and a host of other original approaches to the rigors of old age. The truth is history and philosophy go hand in hand and at Oak Crest both are synonymous with caring about the best a person can be and maintaining a high stand in operations. Staff is dedicated with administrative personnel garnering unprecedented years of tenure and many others within the organization who come to love what happens at Oak Crest and have also maintained decades of service. That dedication is in fact what sets Oak Crest apart from most facilities of it’s kind.

The daily goal is to offer a warm, caring atmosphere that cannot replace home but can come close to it.
