I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
The Gardens feels very welcoming and very homey. It is nicely decorated and doesn’t feel ultra modern. It feels very homey when you walk in and is beautifully decorated. The people are great. They all know each other by first name because it is not a big place, and for her, who is not a super outgoing person, it is really great. They come and invite her whenever they are having an event. They stop over at her room and say, “Would you like to come? We are doing a little concert now,” or whatever it is. I think she needs that little extra push to be social because it is not in her nature. She is better with one-on-one than with groups of people, so it is nice for her. The food is delicious. She is pretty happy with the food, and she is quite picky. You can request special food if you really need or want something, and they always have alternatives on the menu. They are great. They lent her a wheelchair and walker because we don’t have one yet and they could even lend her furniture until she gets her permanent furniture in there. She went for a little while just to test it out, but she is very happy and it looks like she is going to stay.

I visited this facility
I was impressed with The Gardens, and I thought they did a very nice job. It's much smaller, and it seemed like it's a different group of people with less money. The food was good and home-cooked. The people I met were very nice. The rooms were pleasant, very well-kept, and very nicely decorated. It's a little bit older, but it was very good too.

My mother has been a resident of The Gardens for 9 months and we have been very pleased with the facility and the care that she has been receiving. The aides are exceptional - they have helped my mother become more active and they bring her to various activities as well as assist her with dressing and bathing. The Gardens is a small facility and that is why my sister and I chose it for my mother, because it feels like a community. We visited other places in the area and found they were too corporate with many extra fees. The Gardens is affordable with various care levels.
My mother was living alone in her home and was falling frequently. Thankfully we decided assisted living would be better for her than getting live-in help. I don't think any of us expected that she would actually improve by going into assisted living, but the stimulation of being around other people and knowing that help is always right there has been wonderful for her. She is so happy she made the move to The Gardens and my sister and I feel we made the right choice.

The Gardens is close to my home, and they would take my mother. It’s lovely, everybody is nice, and they took her with the Foley catheter. The facility is very clean.

Everything's fine at The Gardens. I put my uncle there because it's close to where I live. It seems like in a nice, decent area of town. The rooms were decent-sized and big enough for my uncle. He has the room by himself, has his own bathroom, refrigerator, and it has adequate ventilation. I thought it was nice.
Most of the staff are very helpful, attentive, and courteous. The food seemed pretty good, too. I've eaten there a number of times. They also had quite a few activities like sing-alongs, news in the mornings, mass for the Catholics on Saturdays, and bingo or movies a couple of times a week.
However, maybe they could have a little bit of variety of food at times and to make the food not so big portions. Most seniors don't eat that much. My uncle also complained a little bit about they had too much pasta, not enough potatoes or not enough rice. The place was also small and only assisted living. They didn't have any dementia care or nursing home. They were in a separate building on another side of the street.

I visited this facility
There is not too much that I can say about this particular facility. Upon visiting there was nothing that made me want to move right in, but in some ways it did have its charm. The friendly on site staff (which are there 24 hours) was comforting in case there was any problems if I were to stay there. On top of the on site staff, they did seem well trained. The things I did like were that if I were to stay there then I would have something like a custom living arrangement. The Price was affordable, and there were many amenities that were physically helpful. All in all the place is nice, but I would like to continue looking.
