I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister is at Village Park of Conway. I like the fact that they have a nurse that goes in and out of all the rooms and checks on all the people periodically. You do have accountability to get up and get your medicines. You also have to get up and go to the cafeteria to eat. There are a few times they will give you food in your room, but not many. You need to have that accountability that you have to get up and move. They help with all kinds of different aspects of life, like working your clothes, keeping your room clean, and helping you. I like the fact that it's a safe place, well managed, and has very good management. The people get along. It's not a huge place where you have hundreds of people. It's below 50, but it's more of a house with a home and a family that way, and I really like that aspect of it. It worked well for a while with my sister, and she's developed a few things. They could put out a questionnaire to all of the residents, find out what activity they like best, and try to have more of that.

Provider Response

Thank you so much for this great review. We try our best to provide the best service possible. Thank you for the feedback on activities, this is greatly appreciated.

I visited this facility

Village Park of Conway was small. It was an older facility and just the setup of it, as far as the surroundings and everything, I don't think it will be something that my mother would be pleased to live in. The staff there seemed nice. The gentleman that I spoke with was very knowledgeable, very upfront, and answered all my questions, but as far as a place that my mother would be happy with, I don't think it would be something that she would like.

I visited this facility

Village Park of Conway was very small, which is good. My aunt is having memory issues, so we thought a small place might be better for her, and it might not be so overwhelming. The facility itself was well cared for and very clean. The staff was very busy, and we felt rushed. But he was very knowledgeable. Their library was pretty pitiful. It didn't seem quite as organized for activities. It's five minutes from a hospital.

I visited this facility

Village Park of Conway was a clean place, and the rooms were of good size. It had a nice-looking dining area, and they had pretty outside areas. The staff that gave me the tour was very pleasant, very nice, and seemed fairly knowledgeable about the facility even though she was not supposed to be the one taking us on the tour. She was the one that dispenses the medications to the residents, so she could not give us information about the financial aspect of things. They had a cafeteria, a game room with puzzles and games, and a stationary bike that was in a TV room. They were not prepared for us. My mother-in-law left her phone number with them to call so she could get answers to questions she had that this other lady could not help her with, but they never called her back.

Mom is moving in today at Village Park of Conway. We are very pleased with it. It is a small community, and everybody has been really great about it. It has all the amenities that we are looking for. I think it is very clean. They have a courtyard in the back.

I visited this facility

I did a tour of the Village Park of Conway. I was looking for something affordable for me because I can't go very expensive, and my mom can't afford something expensive either. It's small and the people that work there were fantastic, I like them. It's a clean and good place. The staff was just great. They got a beauty shop and just have a lot of things there.

I visited this facility

Village Park of Conway was very nice, small, and very clean. There was no odor, the furniture and the facility itself were well-maintained. The staff's personalities were good. They were very accommodating, they answered all the questions, and they offered other information. They allowed me to view the room my husband would be staying in if he decides on private or semi-private. I saw the place where they gather for different games and interact with the other residents. The grounds were immaculate, they had a lovely garden and a garden for those who liked to garden. I even asked if I can change places with my husband. It was nice. They have a program where family and friends can come in and have meals with them. The staff was just straight up to how they operate and they were cordial.

I visited this facility

I visited the Village Park of Conway and was very impressed. I talked to them there, and that was the one I was the most interested in. So once my father decides to go ahead and relocate, then I'll be contacting them again, most likely. I thought Rhonda and Joyce were very informative, took a tour, and explained everything very much in detail. What options there were in, what could be done just to personalize them, even the landscaping outside of a potential window of an apartment. So they were great. It was a small studio that I was mostly considering and it had not been repainted or anything yet. So it wasn't in super good shape at that point, but it was on the list to be redone. It was average for what one person would need. They had a piano room, a get-together room where they had games playing. They had an outdoor facility area for congregating or for doing barbecues. They had grounds to walk on if you wanted to walk. The cafeteria, the dining hall were nice, and the greeting area was nice in the front. I saw everything, and it was very clean and very well maintained.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I recently moved into the Village Park of Conway. We're on lockdown because of Covid. They deliver all the meals to the room. I took the smallest room possible. There's always a problem with getting your medicines, not mixed up, but just not quite complete. The bathroom works, there's enough room for me, and I haven't gotten to visit anyone yet. It has a bath and closet, it does not have a carpet like my previous place did. I've got three windows I can look out of, one whole wall has big windows, a great big backyard which is wonderful, and a little outdoors.

Provider Response

Hello Jerry, Thank you for taking time to write a review. We really appreciate all residents input. We strive for five stars and will work on making the best of the medication problem. Feel free to reach out to me anytime. I am right down the hall. Also, we are no longer on quarantine, so should be able to get out of the room and meet/greet some of the other residents as well. Take care.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother has been at Village Park of Conway for several weeks now. I'm very happy with the move and I'm very satisfied. The administration and the workers seem nice and the residents are friendly. It's a small community, which fits my mom's personality, as a bigger place would overwhelm her. The staff members are always polite, respectful, kind and sweet, so I like the staff and their interaction with my mom. She has a small private room with a private bath, although they also have rooms with 2 people in a room. They play bingo, there's a nurse on staff 24/7 and aides round-the-clock too.

I visited this facility

My mother has decided to move to this facility so I wanted to check it out. Grounds were well kept. I went right to the cafeteria and asked a resident how was her lunch? She replied that the food was always good. A kitchen worker stopped what she was doing and got me someone to tour me. This person answered all my questions and was very personable. You could tell she cared for the residents. I think we have made a good choice.

I visited this facility

Village Park Retirement Living was older. We went there on a weekend, so it wasn't fully staffed, but it seemed really nice. The thing that caught my attention was that when you walk in, not only that they had an enormous aquarium, but they also had a floor to ceiling bird aviary with little birds in it for the residents to look at. The reception or living room looked like somebody's ordinary living room. You could get different room sizes, but I think it was just single rooms, but you could also use your own furniture. They had a library and three activity rooms, one with a fireplace. It thought it was really nice; kind of intimate.
