I would say that Greenview Place was not one that we particularly liked. The person that toured us there was very, very nice and very helpful, but we did not feel that this was a good match for us. We went to see assisted living. They offer food, which they get in the dining room and are served family-style. I believe that there is some housekeeping and laundry too.

I applied on a lot of senior buildings and no one called me back or it’s always on waiting list. The apartments of Greenview were clean and big, and the staff was friendly. This is the only one that I have heard of and that’s why I visited.

Everything in Greenview Place is usually clean, but still I would say that there are some problems here. Sometimes, it is a little more so than others because their CNAs have to do the cleaning and so depending on who is doing it, there are a few who do an absolutely fantastic job and there are some who just do a regular kind of a job. So depending on who you have, you can go from really clean to somewhat clean -- they basically do what was requested of them. I have been in here for over a year now and I would say that the food is pretty good. I think, on average, it is better than most. There are certain things that just don't meet my tastes. We have movies every night after our dinner and we have a little board where they always post what movie will be shown that day or evening; sometimes they give a description of what it is. We have Bingo every Thursday and they have it on Saturday or Sunday, too. Sometimes, we have different activities, but Bingo is usually what they do. We have what they call Greenview games where there is some athletic game, which is something like space marbles; I don't know what to call them. Every morning at 10:40, we have exercises classes that are not really strenuous. The exercise is pro-active, so that if you are having a bad day, you will only do maybe three or something, then you skip this one or you go on to that one. Those who can participate more do, and those who can't participate, don't. The exercises are every morning. On Saturdays and Sundays, they have been trying to change it. They could hardly get some people to participate and as a result, there has been changes in everything. They have had leaders and they have not been available, or something like that, on a weekend. Most of them just drop off, and then you try and get them back again. In general, I would say that that I am happy and comfortable here. The management helps us out, but they don't always listen. They hear what we are saying, but they don't listen to what we are saying. They do listen to us in some respects, but there are a lot of things that they don't listen to and maybe it is about our food or activities, or things like that.

I live in Greenview Place. It's a supported living facility. We get less care than assisted living. We have a nurse that's here from 7 am to 7 pm. The staff is good, and we get CNAs. They come around all the time, and they clean our room once a week. We have two dining room staffs, and they are really good. It's about one mile southwest of Wrigley Field, where the Chicago Cubs play baseball, so it's a nice area. It's nice, except I don't need it anymore. When I came here, I was in a wheelchair, then I went to a rollator, and now I can jog so I don't need it. I went through a lot of therapy, and I'm ready to move out. I'm 68 years old, I'm feeling good, and I just want to go. We have Wii bowling, bingo, card games. We do cooking once a week, and we have a chef there, too. He leads the thing and shows you how to do little things here and there. We have a trip once a week. We go out to Target stores, grocery stores, or Kmart or places like that. I like the food a lot.

Greenview place is nicer than I expected, as it is very clean with nice staff. Everytime I visit my dad, it's always clean, and he seems to be content. He always explains what he has been eating, and seems to be quite happy with the taste of food as well. It also seems to be safe for the residents as well.

Greeneview place is a very active and friendly "home". You are able to go on planned activiites or have your hair and nails done on site or just talk and see a movie with your friends you made there. The meals are delicious and you have a choice if you want something different that day. Family can join in ( just give them 1 day notice) for meals and your studio or 1 bedroom is spacious. Informative and caring staff.
