I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My wife moved into Magnolia Springs Bridgewater. We like the activity programming and the social interaction associated with the activities each day. Today, I was there because they were having grandchildren trick or treating, and they were passing out candies, which they do once a year. The place looks open. Some of the care facilities we looked at were more congested and closer. Here, it is more open and light. The staff is supportive.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I went to see a friend of mine that is there at Magnolia Springs Bridgewater and visited that place. I think it's a very nice facility, and I saw nothing negative there. I'm going over within the next month to have a meal with my friend, but she says the food is very good. Her room is very nice. She's in a one-bedroom, and it has a living room, a small kitchen, and a bathroom, and the storage (closets and things) was very nice. They have a hair salon. She showed me another area where you could get snacks and drinks and things, and she showed me the dining room and the theater room. The staff was friendly as we went around. They called my friend by her first name and knew her.

Magnolia Springs is a great place. My mother is in Memory Care for 2 years and the staff has gone above and beyond to make her comfortable. They have many activities and work very hard to keep the Memory Care residents stimulated. Every staff member is very caring and encouraging. The food is very good. The rooms are spacious and ceilings are high. The common areas are always clean and residents seem to really enjoy hanging out in the common areas, Magnolia Springs is a very upbeat facility. I highly recommend Mag Springs. You will not be disappointed.

My dad moved in to Magnolia Springs of Bridgewater. The food was fabulous, and they have a chef. They are less expensive than the others. They do not have on-grounds doctors or registered nurses, so any medication has to be prepared through an additional healthcare service or by the family. They'll remind them to take their meds, but those have to be prepared by somebody else, so there's a big difference in price when you have that. I had some concerns when my dad moved to memory care. I met with the directors of memory care and assisted living and the director of the whole facility, and they were awesome; they listened to me, they made plans to do the kinds of things that I wanted my dad to have, and they have been following through with it. Things are better. The place has really wide hallways and big doors.

I visited this facility

I visited Magnolia Springs of Bridgewater. Their menu was really likeable as far as eating lunch for my parents. They had a nice outdoor space above their entrance. The hallways were really wide so you could accommodate two or three wheelchairs easily side by side. As far as the physical space they would have been in, it was as tiny as a motel 6. It was claustrophobically tiny. They said they could knock out a wall and make it a double, but even as a double it would still feel really confined. I felt like the hallways were wider than the rooms. They had really nice spaces on either end of building. It was a long building. You had to want to walk to go around to either end, but it was a good thing in a way, if you wanted to get exercise inside or bad thing if you needed to get somewhere and you had to walk that far. I had a salad, and it was good. They had a little lovely dining room. It was an adequate space to get in and out. They answered all of our questions.

I visited this facility

Magnolia Springs Bridgewater was fine; they were very nice and very thorough in showing everything. The dining area was very nice, and everything was very nice, well-kept, and clean. They had a lot of good activities and kept their residents very busy, and they could be as busy as they want to be or just rest. They had a lot to offer.

Magnolia Springs is relatively new. I haven’t met anybody who isn't super friendly and polite, and the food is great, which is a big thing for my husband. He had a three-day retreat there at a special price. There is nothing not to like. The staff is wonderful, always have time for me, and always answers questions.

Magnolia Springs is quite a new community. The staff was very nice, and in fact, they offered me respite care. It’s like a trial stay there.

I visited this facility

Magnolia Springs of Bridgewater was a nice place, and food was very good. They had sent us home with the best apple pie I've ever had. We had dinner there, and it was good. They had a lot of amenities that some of the places I've been to don't have. For $2,400 a month, that's really a good place, and a lot of nice people there too. They went out of their way to have different people talk to me, which was a good thing because you get more acquainted with them. The people seemed happy. I talked to a lot of them and the chef too. I was especially interested in the people that run the place. The people were really raving about it.

I visited this facility

Magnolia Springs of Bridgewater was brand new, very open, and had a lovely staff. They had a lot activities posted, shuttles to get to and from places, and Thursday night had cocktail hour; they have all kinds of activities going on. They have either full-furnished apartments or you can furnish your own, and a very nice kitchen area along with a food counter where you can drop by and just grab anything to eat, which was really nice.

I visited this facility

I thought Magnolia Springs was very nice. It was a relatively new community with good-sized rooms. They did have kitchenettes but didn’t include a microwave. However, they did have a refrigerator and a sink, which I thought was really nice. They had a big closet and large amount of storage in the bathroom, which was unique; most places don't have storage in the bathroom, so I thought that was really nice. As far as the floor plan goes for the bedroom, may have been the nicest I've seen. My only concern is that there were too many residents, but it seemed they had plenty of staff, and activities were ongoing. It was a good place.

Provider Response

Thank you Millie4 on your lovely review of Magnolia Springs Bridgewater! I am not sure if your tour was of our assisted living apartments or our memory care apartments. If you were touring memory care, then yes we do not provide a microwave in the kitchenette. In our assisted living apartments microwaves are included in both the kitchenettes and the full kitchens. I too believe we are blessed with great storage in our resident apartments, especially in the bathrooms as you mentioned. We pride ourselves on good staffing to go above and beyond to make our resident's experience a positive one, so thank you for noticing! I hope you will consider another visit in the future. We would love to host you for a meal as well when you have the time!

I think Magnolia Springs is phenomenal. It’s a brand-new facility, and they keep it up very nicely. It’s extremely clean, and the housekeeping is very good. It has a very nice rehab gym within the community. The staff is very courteous, kind, and compassionate. The food is delicious, and it’s a real treat to go there. I had lunch and dinner with Mom. She is as active as I’ve ever seen her. She goes to bible study, participates in arts and craft, and does the exercise classes.

The hallways are very wide with very nice decors at Magnolia Springs Bridgewater, so it is very homey. They have studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. My father’s apartment has a kitchenette, and it has a separate bedroom. It is big enough for what he needs. They have a chef, and he is good. They take residents to other places like doctors or shopping. It is a great place. He is enjoying it.
