My mom moved into Prestige Assisted Living at Autumn Wind a few days ago. The food there is excellent. We had chicken with broccoli. You go in and it's like a restaurant. They ask if you want salad and they bring that to your table, and then you can order what was on the menu for that day. Or they have an alternate menu if you don't care for what they are fixing that day. The dining room is next to a huge, beautiful central area where they can go down and play cards, sit and watch TV, or listen to music. They do some exercises for the seniors. They have an arts and crafts room. They have a walk-around thing where they all take a walk inside the facility. The staff is nice. They introduced themselves to my mother and told her that they are her caregivers and that if she needs anything, to just pull the cord or ring the bell. The facility is very clean, and it doesn't smell. It is like walking into a nice motel.

I went to Prestige Assisted Living at Autumn Wind, and it was an assisted living and memory care unit. It was a very nice facility. It was just the fact that mom really didn't need assisted care at that time. It was quite a bit more expensive for assisted care. The staff was friendly. I would have considered it if she needed assisted, but she does not at this point. We looked at a one-bedroom and a studio. They were nicer rooms, but they were smaller. They showed us an activity list, and they are pretty busy. It's active, and they do a lot of crafts and things like that.

We had an in-person tour of Prestige Assisted Living at Autumn Wind. We sat down and talked with the gal there. She was very good at explaining things, but they had no rooms available. They had four courtyards with a fountain and a koi pond. They had a hair salon onsite. It was very nice. They have a little mini fridge and a microwave in the apartment. They have a chef. The staff was very knowledgeable, open, and friendly. She was great.

My mother-in-law moved into Prestige Assisted Living at Autumn Wind. It's nice because it's close to home, so we can visit often. She's made some good friends there. The facility is clean. However, we've had to have some repair work done on the room before she moved in or after she moved in. It was not up to par. They have a courtyard, a salon, games, and activities to engage their memory. They need to work on their communication among themselves. The food is decent. The dining area is clean. They have everybody out there, so it's very community-oriented. They just need to ensure that their rooms are ready and safe for clients coming in. In my particular circumstance, the alarm bells had no strings attached to them, the door was not functioning properly, and the flooring was coming up and was a fall hazard.

I went to Prestige Assisted Living at Autumn Wind and that was beautiful. I met with the manager there and she was wonderful. I liked one of the rooms. I like this place better than the other one I toured. It was beautiful, and Tammy, the director, was fabulous and she was super nice. When you come in, you feel like you're in someone's home. There's a beautiful fireplace with a dining area, lots of windows to look out into the courtyard, and they have a waterfall. It's just serene and beautiful. They had an ice cream social when I was visiting, which looked like a lot of fun. They have activities set up for the seniors like bingo, movie nights, and entertaining things like that. They know how to make you feel like you're in your own home at that facility. It feels very homey. The dining area was very nice and open, it almost feels like you were in a restaurant where you can have whatever you wanted to eat. I liked the room. I wanted to go with the upper room because it had a sitting area, a little kitchenette in it, and then you have your bedroom with your bathroom. So you can make it your own home, and then the people down the hall could be like your little neighbors. The people sit outside the rooms and there are little areas where they could read. Tammy was wonderful, she's a very nice lady and she's very organized. That place is run very well, I had a chance to see some of the people that live there doing activities and just relaxing and reading.

We visited Prestige Assisted Living at Autumn Wind. We like that one. It's bright. There's a common area for everybody with a fireplace and a sitting area for my mother-in-law to read her books. I like the way the dining room was set up and the way it was all lit up, not closed in or dark. I like the rooms, I like the prices, and I like the way that the staff was very professional and very friendly. They have a nurse on-hand and then they have a doctor that comes in. They have bands that come in and play on the weekends and stuff like that. It would keep her busy besides me picking her up and taking her to church and shopping or whatever needs to be done. I was very impressed. The staff was very informative. They gave me pamphlets, paperwork, prices and room sizes, and everything else like that. I have not eaten there yet. But I had asked them if I would have to pay for my meal if I wanted to come and have lunch with my mother-in-law, and they said no. So if she wanted me and her son to go have lunch with her, dinner with her, or breakfast with her one day, they would not charge us to sit there and eat with her, which is great.
