L.B.S.H. Housing is located in Brasher Falls, a hamlet in the small town of Brasher, New York. It’s a couple of blocks from Main Street, a short drive from Massena’s commercial amenities and less than an hour from St. Lawrence County offices in Canton.
Offering subsidized housing for seniors 62 and older, L.B.S.H. Housing consists of 60 one-bedroom apartments with kitchens and private bathrooms. It houses the 28 units of Claddagh Care Enriched Housing, certified by the New York State Department of Health as enriched housing accommodations that provide supportive nonmedical care in an independent living setting. The building has on-site management and maintenance staff to assist residents with available services and other relevant concerns.
Fostering a community atmosphere, L.B.S.H. Housing is built with homelike amenities that keep residents socially engaged. Its manicured grounds feature a rear patio area with a gazebo. The community room has a kitchen and TV area, while the dining hall has a cozy library corner. Salon services are offered on-site for convenience. Residents can join scheduled bus trips courtesy of NYSARC. The facility also functions as a congregate lunch site for nutrition programs by St. Lawrence County’s Office for the Aging.
