I visited this facility

My mom is on the waiting list at Stoney Brook of Belton. It's very nice, open, airy, and there is a lot of greenery. It's near a lake, too. It has one level only, which I like. The grounds are well-kept. The person who assisted us was very friendly, very accommodating, and very knowledgeable. And I think they were very well prepared for my visit. I kind of got there after mealtime was over, but I can tell by the menu that it looked like it was well-rounded, and it had a lot of choices for the residents. For activities, residents were doing exercise class.

I am/was a resident of this facility

We are doing well here at Stoney Brook of Belton. We have been here for a little over a month now, and we're settling well. The food is good. The people are just wonderful. The management is great. We have no complaints at all. They have a lot of different games that one can play, they have a piano if one plays it, and they have different events come up that you can attend. There are Sunday morning services. They have bingo and a lot of different table games. They have a little movie theater, and that's enjoyable. Our apartment is great. They do a good job in maintenance. I wish they had a little bit more labor toward housecleaning, but you can't have everything. We get our place cleaned twice a week but it's just light cleaning, and so if we want more than that, we have to do it ourselves. They have a wonderful dining area room where a lot of events are held. The living room and the dining room are two separate places but they're kind of altogether where there's a hallway in between. It is all open, and it's very modern. The activity room is where they have the church service. They have a fireplace on both sides in that particular area. The dining room is just right next door to it, and people can go in there and have their meals. There's also a little snack room and of course, you can go there any time of the day and night if they need little snacks. They have those available.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My aunt is here. It's beautiful. They have it all decorated for Christmas. My aunt is very happy with it. The staff members are wonderful. The food looks good. My aunt is in a small room. I know they come in and take care of my aunt. They clean her room, make her bed, and give her her her medicine on time. She also enjoys the fact that the bus takes them to the grocery store. She went on that one day and then the next day they had a nice small Christmas party. She went to that and really enjoyed it.

I visited this facility

Everything about it was very nice. I saw the media room and the spaces for quiet reading or where you can play games, and the spa tub and beauty salon. The residents and the staff were very nice; everybody I met was very nice. The place was absolutely clean and very nice. It had beautiful décor, a large outside living space, and good amenities. They had a bus that would take you places, and it was in a nice location. The food that I saw being brought out of the kitchen to the dining rooms smelled good and looked good. There were small dining areas in different wings of the building, so if you didn’t want to go to the main dining room, you could go to one of the smaller dining areas.

It had the best layout of rooms, and the staff was very warm and caring. They had activities and tried to keep their residents active, so it was really a good facility. The residents seemed comfortable.

I visited this facility

I had a very positive experience here. I thought the rooms were adequate as far as space goes. People like me don’t need a lot of room, so I thought the rooms were more than adequate. They sometimes have dances and people who come in to entertain. I saw a game room. Everything that I would be interested in doing was there.

I visited this facility

I thought the staff that worked there was very attentive and very supportive of each person. I didn't get to see the rooms, but they do have some cottages that were bigger. They showed me their schedule, like there is a group playing bingo then after about an hour another group would be playing dominoes. I saw the dining room, and it was more like a restaurant. They have a little menu on the table for each day, and they came around and took the order. It was very nice.
