I did a tour at The Pavilion at Great Hills, and I didn't like it, it was too big. None of the staff smiled or said hi to you. It was a nice place, but I couldn't give it much more than a three. The staff didn't seem to be very friendly and engaging, but the place was nice. I saw pretty much everything. I obviously couldn't go into the kitchen, but I saw the dining room, the rooms, the activity room, the library, and the game rooms.

The Pavilion at Great Hills was very lovely and the staff was really nice. The rooms were a little on the small side and I did not like that they had a resident cat because I'm highly allergic to cats. Also, their memory care residents were not very active. They gave me the most delicious cookie, which was freshly baked. They have activities, but their calendar of events was outdated. They had very nice amenities, and the food looked delicious. The outdoor area was really pretty.

I like The Pavilion at Great Hills. They only take in 11 people, so it is small. The staff members are exceptional. They have people at senior living upfront, and the Alzheimer's patients are at the back. What they do is different from the other people. They take people out on excursions and have transportation. They may go visit the capital and take them to eat ice cream. They take people off-site and also have things to do on-site on a regular basis. The ground is very secure because it is gated. They don't have a lot of land where you can walk around, but the apartments are a nice size. They bring food to the people and make sure that the food is fresh and hot.

We liked the atmosphere at The Pavilion at Great Hills. The location for us was very good, and the price seemed right. They had a lot of amenities and a lot of activities. It was built within the last seven years, so everything looked in really tip-top shape. We ate lunch there, and the food was good. Everybody that we met seemed happy, friendly, and enjoyed the place. The marketing director was very kind. We put a deposit down and are working on trying to get my mom moved in. We think it's going to be the right place for her. It looked very clean and neat. Every staff member we saw as we passed by smiled, said hello, and seemed very friendly. There were people out doing flower arrangement, cake decorating, and puzzles.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My brother has moved into The Pavilion at Great Hills. They have lots of activities. I really like the way the staff engages with the residents. They talk and engage with them in a wonderful way. They have exercise classes, movies in the evening, happy hour on Wednesday, and parties on holiday. They have lunch/brunch on Friday, faith-based activities on Sunday, and Bible studies. They take him to all his doctors' appointments. My brother is thriving there. The food is good, too. The staff members know the people and talk to them. They're friendly, accommodating, helpful, and encouraging. My brother really likes it there. They serve three meals in the dining room.

It has been a pretty nice stay for my mother at the Pavilion at Great Hills. The staff is accommodating -- the general staff is very friendly and very helpful to the residents. The rooms are really nice, depending on where you are. There are some of them that do an exit to the courtyard. They do offer food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And then, you have other amenities inside the room like a little refrigerator to store food. Some of them have a little heating amenity so that they can heat some of the food they keep if they want to, and some don’t have it. So it depends, but it was OK. They have a fitness room and a room to do crafts, I’ve seen them do movies, and they have also have Bingo and other social activities for their residents.

My mother was here for 14 months in memory care. The staff was wonderful with her. They knew her as a person and were always kind.

The Pavilion is fine, but the living quarters are way too small. The staff was fine and seemed friendly enough. There really aren’t any grounds, just the interior patio. The dining area was good enough. They allow the residents to use the public space, like the extra space in the hallways, for personal interests. They were accommodating in letting people continue their interests.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mom is at The Pavilion. It is good. She has been there for several months now. The service is good. They have quite a few activities, but it is pretty much up to the individual if they want to participate. They have full calendar of activities and things for the residents to do. The quality of care is pretty good.

Pavilion at Great Hills was a very nice community. The people were absolutely fantastic. I wanted to place my father there originally but he changed his mind. It was a great community, and I have nothing bad to say about it at all. They had tons of activities. They even had something they called brain health, an activity they did every week in which they had people come from accredited universities to help the residents with their mental capacity. I have not eaten there, but I assume the food was good. It's the people there that really impressed me the most.

I visited the Pavilion at Great Hills. It has nice apartments and nice dining facilities. I only dealt with one person, but she was very good and personable. The rooms were spacious and really nice. The dining room is very attractive, and they have a menu with multiple options, so it is very positive. I also talked to the residents, and everybody I talked to liked it.
