My husband has been in Randall Residence of Auburn Hills, and he's doing very well. What made me choose them is he got his own room and the security there. The staff has been wonderful. His meals are made from scratch every day. I feel very secure there. Some caregivers are just absolutely above and beyond the call of duty. There are some there that are just wonderful, and I am so grateful. They have all kinds of activities. They have a bus that takes them on full-color rides. They're having a Thanksgiving dinner for families. They had a Halloween. They had going from summer to fall family events. They'll have a Christmas family event. You can go there at any time of the day; there are no visiting times. If I wanted to go at 3 in the morning, I could go at 3 in the morning. However, I think they could get a few more caretakers to put more eyes on people.

My Uncle resided at Harbor Chase for over 3 years. I feel they are more concerned with the money coming in then enhancing and actually caring about the residents. Usually understaffed. If you want to be there every day to take care of your loved one the way they should be taken care of then this is the place for you :-(

HarborChase of Auburn Hills is clean and adequate. It's not luxurious but it's pretty decent. The staff is helpful and they seem to have a willing spirit to learn. They seem to be compassion and caring which is very important. I'm just not sure how much specialized training they have especially in administering medication and medical procedures. My mother-in-law is in memory care. From time to time, they go to a restaurant. and do some sport-type events, although that's limited because some people can't walk well and there are people who are just vegetating there. The food though is very good. The place is very clean and the layout is good because it's simple and not confusing.

HarborChase of Auburn Hills is very good for my father-in-law. They really work very hard to make him happy. We go there almost every other day, and his room is kept very well. It seems that he likes the food and activities. They have bingo, puzzles, and sing-a-long.

IT IS SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 2 2017. I am not impressed. I went TO SEE MY BROTHER WHO IS THERE. I STOPED AT THE MAIN OFFICE (I THINK). I received directions to the building he is in and drove there. It was 0930 hours. I rang the bell several times, No one came to answer. So I went back to the first building and told her about that. She said she would meet me there and she did. I entered and saw my brother. He was unshaven in night gown. Apparently for 18 men there were two staff members. There is no help Button for the residents. He was sitting at a table. In talking to him he said he wanted to go home and for me to call his wife to come and get him. He has been there for several weeks. A staff member had to come to the door to disarm the alarm, apparently she was alerted by invisible senior staff to talk to me. She was nice. My impression. The two ladies did the best. I am sure they are underpaid (this is observaton. Certainly understaffed. Residents who can not shave themselves must be shaved daily. A Registered Nurse must be in each building 7 days days 24 hours. I can not recommend this facility, I am a UM graduate.

HarborChase of Auburn Hills is a beautiful, quiet facility. The residents who were out and about seemed lively, so that was great. It seemed like a good and very comfortable place. It's in a very busy, growing area, but the property was wide enough and set back in a nice little wooded setting, so it seemed very quiet and remote. The director I met with and a couple of staff members that I saw were outstanding. They were far more expensive. The packages were comparable but they were $1,500 more a month, so we just couldn't afford it. It was very open and had plenty of room for multiple wheelchairs so it's very spacious. The main house where my mom would have been was in a perfect circle so you couldn't get lost which was great and I loved it. I only saw the dining room briefly, but it looked modern. The place was very new and updated but homey for the age group. It was really nicely decorated with flowers for that age group. The calendar activities were very impressive. They stood out a little bit from the others, so I like that.

I liked the fact that Harborchase of Auburn Hills was homey. They have the usual activities at this facility. The staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful. The rooms and the hallways were a good size, and they had a very nice dining room. The lady who showed me around insisted I join her for lunch. They have a very nice and varied menu with great food.

I did visit HarborChase of Auburn Hills, and I did not like the place. It had a bad odor in certain places, and the manager who took me around didn’t have a complete set of keys, so there were places he could not get into. My impression was not a good one at all.
