Reviews of Atria Buckhead

I am a friend or relative of resident
My mother was a resident for over 4 years, and then suddenly we were informed that we needed to hire a "sitter" to feed her 3x/day. The memory unit has NOTHING resembling innovation, but has had more than 3 directors in 2014 and is generally understaffed. Avoid this facility, which is not even fully licensed as Assisted Living in GA.
We are sorry to hear of your unhappiness with your mother’s experience. Although we have had some transition in our community, we always strive to make changes that are in the best interest of our residents, here at Atria Buckhead and at our sister communities. As you know, our community offers multiple levels of care based on regular assessments. If a resident requires more care than we are able to provide, we work with the family as they consider their options. We are always disappointed when a resident has to leave us, but please know that we consider their safety of the utmost importance. If you would like to discuss this further, or feel we can be of further service to your family, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We do hope your mother is enjoying her new home and wish you the best.

I visited this facility
Atria Buckhead is a very attractive facility. It's very pleasing to the eyes – everything from the dining room to the foyer to the hallways, everything is attractive there. The staff was very friendly and the clientele seems to be happy and content. It has a good climate when you walk in the door.

I am a past client of this provider
The facility is very elegant but with pricing that is competitive and fair. The staff are exceptional and even the administrative staff are ever present and available to assist with the smallest detail to ensure your loved one is comfortable.
Meals are usually the most social time many residents have and the dining hall prepares meals and alternative offerings to accommodate each resident's preferences. It was always a good experience - and especially their special events to celebrate holidays and such.

I visited this facility
When visiting this facility, I noticed that they seemed to be very under-staffed when it came to nurses. It seemed that they did not have enough CNA's to feed the patients who could not feed themselves. I noticed some patients still waiting to eat long after everyone else was done and back in their rooms. The facility itself was clean, but it did not seem to have an atmosphere that would make a loved one feel "at home" away from home.
We always appreciate hearing from visitors so that we can constantly improve our community. As an independent and assisted living community, Atria Buckhead strives to preserve the independence of our residents. While our staff may help residents place their dining order and will make sure their food is delivered to them as requested, residents must be able to feed themselves. We regularly assess our residents to make sure that independent or assisted living is appropriate for their needs. Please be assured that family members are notified if a resident is having difficulty eating or is not eating enough.
I will share your review with the appropriate staff to make sure that residents are receiving their meals soon after they order them, as residents may dine at different times with our restaurant-style dining. Please email us at email@example.com if you would like to share further about your experience with us (be sure to include the community name). We also invite you to visit us again soon.

I visited this facility
I visited this center. It was very professional and clean somewhat elegant. The seniors were participating in various activities such as playing board games or watching television. Even though I chose a different center for my relative I still would Highly recommend this one. One of the employees was helping one of the residents with her make up. I thought that was so sweet and helpful.

Friend or relative of resident
Atria Buckhead is the assisted living facility that was chosen to be the new home for our mother-in-law. We had offered to pay for a nurse to come to her home but she preferred to find a private apartment where she could still lead an active life but have trained caregivers available when, and if, she needed assistance. She even got to take her Persian cat with her and this pampered feline now shares a lovely room that provides a perfect view of the outdoors. Today she is enjoying a full and happy life at Atria Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia. As we live in nearby Athens, GA, we are able to visit her at least 3-4 times a month. Her caregivers and other staff members have been very good about keeping us informed about any changes, no matter how insignificant they might seem. The care that our mother-in-law has received thus far has been outstanding. Even during the busiest hours we have not witnessed any rudeness or curt behavior from anyone on the staff. There are Iron Chef Competitions, shopping excursions and numerous activities for all the residents to participate in. In fact several times when we have stopped by to visit we have had to wait until she was finished with her latest craft, exercise session or other new adventure. The location is in the Buckhead community of Atlanta which is one of the safest and most desirable areas of the city. This has also made it easy for her to arrange shopping or theater trips.
