I visited McClellan Senior Living. I liked the environment. I liked where it was. I liked the room setting and the options you have. I also liked the fact that they have a separate refrigerator for the people there, where they can come and get their own snacks. I liked the way that I was welcomed, and then I was given booklets. They were informative and gave me the information that I needed, each one of them that I spoke to. They have a van that takes the people out. They also have doctors who come in to see the residents. They have a beauty shop there.

My mother is in McClellan Senior Living. She's been for three years now. She started in independent living, and then we had to move her to assisted living. They offer choir practice that she seems to enjoy on Wednesdays. They also offer church services on Sundays, shopping trips, and activities. She loves to play bingo. I like the dedication and compassion of the staff. She has a pretty spacious room with enough room for a queen size bed, a little bench, a chair, and a couple of tables. She can have a mini fridge and a microwave. She has a bathroom and a walk-in closet. I have not tried the food myself, but she says it's mediocre. Some days it's good and some days it's just meh.

I went to visit McClellan Senior Living. The person explained everything available and the place was really clean. It seemed like an apartment, it didn't seem like a nursing home. They showed me a studio, it's one room with a bathroom and a closet, and it's adequate if that's what you want. I saw their dining facility, there was an activity area, and places where you can sit outside. I didn't have any of their food, they just showed me the cafeteria and what snacks were available during the daytime and everything like that. It was very clean and looked to be well-maintained. They also had laundry services and they had a calendar with whatever was going to be available for that day. Aside from the studio, they told me that they also had a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom. Overall, I was impressed.

McClellan Senior Living is a beautiful place. In fact, when I get older, I might live there, but for the amount of care that my mom requires, it wasn't going to be a good fit. The facilities that they showed me, the dining room, kitchen, and the rooms, I liked the way that they were set up. They had permission from one of the residents to show me their room that was already made up and set up. I also saw one that was empty. They were both beautiful rooms with lots of space. If my mom was more independent, that would have been a great place for her to be. Even the other residents were really friendly, one was over-friendly, but they were great. The staff I got to talk to was also great. The facilities were really great. The showers that they have, they can walk in, so there's less chance of falling. They're really big and they looked really great. They showed me the dining room, activity room, and they have a gym. They also have some really adorable little birds that you can watch. I met a couple of the residents, and they were really awesome, telling me about the place.

McClellan Assisted Living Facility was very nice. It had multiple levels, like four or five stories tall and you have elevators to go up and down, and we were a little concerned about my mom getting confused, going to the wrong floors, and that type of thing. Also, it was further away from our house and we didn't know at that time that my mother was far into her dementia as she was, so they probably wouldn't have been able to have her anyway. We were still pleased with the tour. Cheryl was the lady that took us around and you could tell she knew an awful lot of the residents because she spoke to them, called them by their names, and they seemed to like her. She was very nice. The only room we looked at was a studio because that's what we were interested in, and it was a very nice room. It had plenty of room for the bedroom and her stuff. There were chairs in it, and of course, the bathroom went off of it and a closet. They have some activities where they sing, do a combination of exercises and games, and I saw them having a raffle for things. The building almost looked like an apartment complex or a big hotel, but they could use some updating.

My mother is in McClellan Senior Living. They have both assisted and independent living there. It's really nice and clean. Everybody is very accommodating, very kind, and very patient. They go out of their way to help the residents. They have daily activities, and the activity director will also work with the residents in starting activities that they don't have if that particular resident is interested. The food is very good. They have a good variety, they have a regular menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a different meal each day, but they have the calendar published each month. They also have a choice of other things in case a resident does not want to eat what is on the regular menu/if they prefer a different food. They're very accommodating and very kind. Most of the rooms are a studio, but hers is a two-room apartment, and so she put her living room furniture in one room and her bedroom furniture in the other. The staff is amazing. I know that they did more pre-COVID and they're gearing up for more. They still have two or three activities every day, and they will work with the residents if they would like something that is not on the regular calendar. They don't have as many as they did, but they are gearing up to have more. I have not had the regular meals, but I heard that they are very good. I don't have a lot to judge it from, but considering the cook stayed after she clocked out just to make us something, I would say it's pretty good too. They are so accommodating. It is pricier than some, but everything is included. The food is included, the cable is included, and the utilities are included. They have somebody that drives them everywhere. This is for both independent and assisted living. They have all of those things provided. Even though it is more than some of the other ones that we looked at, I think the value for the money is probably on par considering everything that's included.

We like the people at McClellan Senior Living. My mom has moved in there and the place is very clean, and the staff is just friendly and professional. We thought they are a nice place. She's picky, but I was surprised that she likes the food. That's also because she has multiple choices. If she doesn't like what's on the menu, they'll switch it and give her something else (even if she just wants a tuna fish sandwich). Her room is huge, they clean it twice a week, and she likes the exercise room, where they do a type of exercise every morning. For the best place that it was, it's one of the cheapest. They were even willing to work with you a little bit.

It is a beautiful location, and the employees are great. The staff is doing a great job. I have an apartment with a bed, television, and all kinds of things that I need. They can pick the laundry and bring it back the next morning, the food is good, and everybody is helpful. They have Bingo, exercise, and church services. They also have a bus that takes you shopping centers, banks, and wherever you need to go.
