I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
We selected Sunlit Gardens for my mom based on the location and the services they provide. They provide a good-size room for the pricing, and there is no additional pricing for them to take my mom to doctor's appointments. They actually stayed with her at her doctors' appointments. Their bus driver is actually the one who is in charge of scheduling the appointments because that way she knows how much time each resident needs. Then she accompanies my mom, then calls me and gives me an update on what the doctor said and when her next appointment is. It is a much smaller community, so there are not as many activities. However, they have Bingo, balloon volleyball, and some trivia type stuff. Another thing that I really like is that there is a community dining room centrally located and it is not a far walk for anyone. They will also bring my mom's food to her room for her if she wants at no extra charge. They're really good.

We went to Sunlit Gardens, and this was really nice too. We liked this place, but it was very expensive, and I couldn't afford it. The people seemed to know what they were doing, and they were friendly. I also saw that they were very patient with the people that they were taking care of. Everything was very clean, and I liked it. Also, the people were not as close. They were very separated from one room up to the other, and I didn't like that. They have quite a bit of activities. I will give them a four because of the price. Otherwise, I would have gone there. I guess the price is OK for them because of the service they give. Most of the people in there are not just on assistance, but they need more care, so I think that is why the price is higher; they have more responsibility.

I am a friend or relative of resident
In January of 2007 we were looking for a nice facility to place my wife's parents and an aunt. We looked through out the area of Rancho Cucamonga and surrounding cities. Finally hearing that we should go and look at Sunlit Gardens. From that first visit we found such a beautiful facility for assisted living. We were able to find two rooms for the parents and aunt. Since that time we have been completely happy with the decision to have them live there. The staff and workers have been such wonderful and caring people. We are so glad that Sunlit Gardens was suggested to us and that they had rooms we needed. We are grateful that such a place is available.

I brought my Mother to this facility over a year ago and I could not be more pleased and blessed with the quality of care she receives. Since moving her here, she went from being severely depressed and had a very dim outlook of her quality of life to being so much happier and very outgoing and determined to improve her physical and mental health. She had suffered a severe stroke that left her paralyzed on her left side and the previous facility did very little to help her recover and rebuild her mental and physical abilities. Today she is able to walk with a walker (with assistance from their staff and physical therapy) and her mentality and quality of life has improved far beyond mine and my family's expectations. This is a very clean and well maintained facility with dedicated and caring caregivers and staff that make every effort to ensure the best care they can give. I've seen other reviews but my personal experience and my mother's quality of life and much improved mentality far exceeds previous facilities she used to be in.

I visited this facility
I had a visit to Sunlit Gardens since I am live nearby. The staff were very friendly. The grounds were really clean. The price seemed pretty reasonable, but unfortunately my grandma passed before we could try to place her in there.

I visited this facility
I visited Sunlit Gardens and was amazed at the size of the rooms and the well thought layout of the grounds. Unfortunately, I had problems getting my Mom placed there. I gave a deposit on the room but had to prompt them to come out and do the level of care assessment of my Mother. I left numerous messages about the move in date but my calls were never returned. The day they came for the assessment they said they would call me that afternoon and never did. I finally went and got my deposit back with all the paper work from the doctor. An assistant director apologized many times but claimed she doesn't know what happened and seemed surprised that the sales director didn't return my call. I was very disappointed and had to start again to look for a place for my Mom.

The grounds are manicured with covered walkways leading into a courtyard and garden area. The interior common area is spacious and clean; no smells. There's a small TV/living room at the entrance that leads into the dining room area. The rooms are semi-private or private; patients can bring their own furniture. I didn't see too many patients out in the common areas; just a few in the dining room eating. Lots of activities are offered including a putting green.

This is an Assisted Living facility. Very nice grounds with a golden retriever who also lives there. I got a cozy and warm feeling when I visited. The staff were attentive to the residents present. They also have a memory care unit with 24 hour care. A safe and secure place to live. They also provide transportation if needed. (They have a large van). Easy location to access.
