I toured Tapestry House Memory Care. The memory care facility is separated from the assisted living and independent facility. They're about a mile and a half apart. But I was informed yesterday that they plan to move the memory care over to the same property as the other two. So things might be a whole lot nicer for the memory care once they get moved over to where the assisted living and independent living is located. But as it stands right now, I did not like the memory care property. It was old, outdated, small, and small can be good, so that small could mean that it's good because you have a lot of staff for a number of people.residents. But no, it's just kind of rundown. They're trying to keep it updated and all, but the rooms were tiny. The rooms felt small. It was dark in there and just outdated. So when they move to the other property I think it's going to help them an awful lot. Its location is convenient to a lot of amenities for those of us that would be visiting there. There's shopping, stores nearby, restaurants nearby, and grocery stores nearby. It's pretty well located in that regard.

I toured Tapestry House Memory Care for my husband. I liked the way it looked. It was appealing. The rooms were a little small. There was a large group of residents in front of a fireplace, and the activity director was doing something with them. I was shocked to see that many people sitting around. I was quite impressed with that. I did ask to see the kitchen and she wouldn't allow me to do that, which kind of concerned me. The upkeep of the building looked fine. The facility was clean and my daughter who was with me said it smelled good there. It was very pleasant looking and there seemed to be adequate staff on a Saturday. We saw quite a few staff people, so that was encouraging. She said that they have a 6:1 ratio of residents, which I thought was very good. They had a couple of enclosed courtyards. The staff who assisted me had only been there two months so I think that was the reason she couldn't answer some of my questions and thanked me for all the questions I had because that helped her be better prepared in the future. She was kind of learning her job, but she was quite attentive and interested in us and our situation, and she was very gracious. There were some questions I had that the person couldn't answer for me. I wanted to look at the report of the last inspection by the state, but she had no idea where it was.

My husband has been in the Tapestry House Memory Care for over a year now. Right now, I'm not that happy with it as I was when he moved in a year ago, because there are not that many people over there now and they've lost a lot of help because of that. There were about 40 people when he first went in January a year ago, and now there are only like 17 residents. They took a big hit with COVID and it's just been terrible, but he's been fine. I couldn't get in to see him because they're trying to be careful too, but the facility is close to my house, and only costs about $3600 rather than $5000. The only physical problem that he has is his memory. The staff is nice and has always been very helpful. He's got a nice room. It's not big but it's comfortable. We put a TV in and a real nice chair for him, and that works out well. I just wish that the food was better.

My mother had Alzheimer's Decease for 17 years and was in two other assisted living facilities before I moved her to Gardens of Roswell. That was the best thing in those seventeen years I ever did. At the end of her life she would tell me all the time how much see loved Gardens of Roswell. She was always happy , clean (she never smelled as she did in the other facilities) and the her care was absolutely wonderful. Frances the RN could not do more than she did and the caregivers were my mother's angels right to the end of her life and I will be eternally thankful. Thank You Gardens of Roswell for all you did for my mother and myself for her final year.

This community is a desirable home away from home experience. It is a nice and small intimate community where you will find experienced, attentive, and welcoming staff. Some residents and staff alike have called this place home for over 5 years. I love its location! It's in a great area!

The Gardens of Roswell was lovely, but it was too far, and it was very small. They had maybe 30-something residents. It was cute, quaint, and small, but it was a little too small, and it didn’t really matter because it was too far. It took me an hour to get there. It seemed like they had a lot going on. They had a lot more men than women, which was interesting. The residents seemed happy there. I did eat lunch there. The lunch was excellent. The director was excellent too. She spent a long time with me. At this point, I don’t remember their calendar of events, but I know that they had a lot of things for the residents. It was in a lovely setting. It was a beautiful area, e.g., very green and lots of gardens. It was really pretty.
