I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My friend moved to The Village At Alameda and so far, I liked everything that I've seen there and all the care that she's getting. They go out of their way to help you. Her room is nice and kept clean. They assist her with her housekeeping, like making her bed and everything. Everyone seems to be happy there. The community layout is pretty good. The food has been very good, too, and my friend seems to like it well. Their dining area is laid out very nicely and you can get around in it fairly decently, even with all the walkers and wheelchairs. They have a salon, a community room, and a young lady who does manicures. They're very good at taking her to her doctor's appointments outside of the facility. Plus, they've got a doctor that comes in and they've got nursing on staff all the time.

My tour experience at The Village At Alameda was excellent. It was a great community, but it was not quite what we were looking for. Great people. They're very, very nice. They had very nice rooms. It's a very clean, very modern, and very happy place. The dining area was beautiful, nice, and clean. Everybody seemed very content. The only problem with it was that we're not looking for assisted living, we're looking for independent living.

We have 2 relatives living here. One in a one bedroom and the other in a Studio apartment. Big and spacious, clean and well kept. The staff has been very gracious with our Mom's, and kind. Attends to their every whim. The dining room has an open an friendly atmosphere with amazing food. They have plenty of activities for the residents. Our Mom's were both in other places previously, and absolutely love their new home at The Village. The Management has been all caring in getting them settled in. They have been a huge help to us. I would recommend The Village to anyone and already have!

We chose The Village at Alameda for our mother. I liked it. It was very nice. I visited the assisted living facility and they had it number rated. It was very friendly and very well run. They had pretty rooms and good individual attention, and I like the staff people that I met. Everybody was just great over there. The manager, the chef, the owner, I like all these people. The food was great. They had yoga, church services, and a workout room. They had a pretty outdoor walking facility that was safe that was on the property, so mom could get exercise.

I did a tour of The Village At Alameda. I would compare it to a boutique hotel. Their rooms also have a kitchenette. Everybody has walk -n showers and all that kind of stuff. All of the rooms are the same. It's just that the staff knows the difference. When the residents come in, they meet with the staff; and it's the level of service that you sign up for and the staff knows that. So, it's not segregated. They have a courtyard with a gazebo and a barbecue area. It's open to all residents at any time. On the second level, they've got a covered patio. During the summer months when it's nice outside, the residents can go up there and order their meals and the staff will bring it up. They can eat out there. Families can bring in food and they can sit up there. It's pretty much open to all the residents all the time. When we were looking down, the apartments on the first floor looking into the courtyard also have patios like they have their own fenced-off little patio. Some of them had furniture, some of them didn't. I get the impression that you can bring your own. There were a couple of little grills and stuff out there, like little hibachis or whatever. That's why I say that it was more like a boutique hotel than a facility. With The Village out there, there's no fencing or anything. Their security is contract security. But that part's alright because it's so hard to find, that nobody is going to go over there and cause any problems.

Thank you for providing such a detailed recommendation of our community, Robby! Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

We went to The Village at Alameda. I chose them because of the size of the room and the available services. They had it set up so that if you found out you were going to come, you could put a deposit down and hold a room for something like one month, and that gives you time to move in, especially if something happens quickly, and in our case, that very well could be. They had one- and two-bedrooms. There was a meeting of all the residents, and they were really having a good time. They were sharing and laughing. They really enjoyed what they were doing. They had a library, an exercise room, and a beauty salon.

Provider Response

Beverly, thank you so much for the positive review! We always strive to provide quality service to every resident and patient, and are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit here at The Village at Alameda!

We left my dad at The Village At Alameda for 10 days for respite care. We really liked it and so did he. The different levels of assisted living that they offered was great. If I was looking myself and my husband for just assisted living, I would go here. I felt very comfortable. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and had their residents engaged. They had a huge dining room and my dad for the most part liked the meals every day. They had cards, movies, name games, and exercises. He had a one-bedroom with a sitting area and a little kitchen.

The Village at Alameda is one of the two possibilities on my list. I looked at their 1-bedroom, and it was very nice and roomy. It has a private bath, which I was looking for, and I liked its size and layout. I was treated well. They were very good in showing me around, and then they called me on the phone a couple of times to follow up. They offer laundry services and they have a weekly housekeeper coming in. They have good laundry services, and they also offer transportation.

My parent is already in The Village At Alameda. It is excellent. Everything is excellent, and that’s the reason why we chose it. The staff is very accommodating. The whole place is beautiful, very accommodating, and very friendly. It is very nice in general. Her room is beautiful. It is like a suite. It is not hospital-like at all. They have all kinds of activities like yoga, chair exercise, bingo, games, happy hour, and singing. They have all kinds of general entertainment.

The Village at Alameda was very well maintained and attractive. The dining room was inviting. The apartments that we saw were nice-sized and laid out well. The hallways were nice and wide so there was plenty of room for motorized wheelchairs and scooters. The person who showed people around was very friendly, very welcoming, and very nice.

I visited this facility

My husband, who has mild Alzheimer's, recently spent 10 days at Village at Alameda through their respite care program. His comment: "If I can't be at home, this is a good place to be," high praise from someone who has hated previous respite care locations. When we toured, prior to his stay, we were both impressed with the friendliness of the administration and staff, cleanliness, and quality of the food. During his stay, I was pleased to call his cell phone and have him not answer because he was out of his room participating in numerous activities. I believe their statement of "quality services that meet the needs of each resident" is truly a commitment of all who work there.

The Village at Alameda was an excellent place. I'll give it 5 stars all the way through. The rooms were very nice, open, airy, and bright. The whole facility was nice and clean with good staff, good food, and good activities. They had somebody come in every Friday afternoon to play music and have get-togethers. During the week, they'd take the residents on a shopping trip and scenic drives.

Everything was great at The Village. They had a one bedroom, and it was a very nice place. The food was good. They had all kinds of things. They had arts and crafts, exercises, and they had talks. They had a bus that would go out once a week and take them on a ride someplace. All the personnel were very friendly.

My parents are at Village at Alameda. We chose this facility because it had the nursing care that my parents were going to need. The staff is very caring, helpful, and very responsive. The nursing staff is topnotch. My parents have a two-bedroom unit and this is the size of apartment that they needed. Their apartment has a wonderful view to where the balloons go up because it's just right across the street from Fiesta Park where the Balloon Festival takes place. They have a view of the mountain and that makes a pleasant setting. I've eaten there and the food is good and nutritious. They have specific times for their meals.
