The tour at Waters Edge Lodge was very thorough. The gentleman that gave the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was very informative and pleasant. It went well. He showed me probably three or four different floor plans. They have a movie room, and they have a happy hour once a week. They have some live music in the lounge area. They have excursions for the seniors. There's a courtyard, a beauty salon, and a little coffee area. It was a nice facility, but I liked the other place better.

The most striking thing about Waters Edge Lodge was that they had a nice view from their patio. They also had a nice lounge where they had someone come in and play the piano every day. We liked the room. It was quite nice. It had a nice kitchenette and a little more space than most of the rooms we saw. We didn't see a lot of staff people around though.

Waters Edge Lodge was a great place and working with the people there has been great. It's a great location. The rooms were above average and nice. The only thing I would say that I was a little disappointed with was that there's no air-conditioning in the rooms. There's air-conditioning in the hallways, but that was the only thing that took me back a little bit. They have exercise classes, outings, a walkway around the property by a lagoon, and a small game room that's near the front of the facilities. They have a pretty large dining room. They have an activity room and a patio area. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

Waters Edge Lodge is an older facility but still looks pretty well-maintained. The tour was informative. We got to see the rooms we were interested in. They gave us all the information that we needed. They have activities. The rooms were nice and clean. The vaulted ceiling made the room appear bigger, so that was helpful. The staff was friendly. It's nice that it's located on a lagoon. Out of all three of the places we looked at, they had the highest move-in cost.

I toured Water's Edge in Alameda and was very impressed. I toured the assisted living and the place was light, airy, clean, friendly, and had a nice layout aesthetically. Everything was well-maintained and clean. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to have my dad there. I didn't eat there, but I was impressed with the fact that it's a sit-down menu. They sit down, they get a menu and they can choose what they want to eat. It's not a set menu every day. They had the movie theater going. I saw some exercise. I don't know if that would help with physical therapy or just sessions, but I did see some exercising. They have nice outdoor patio areas, some with the water view of the lagoon. They have beautifully maintained gardens and outdoors as you walk inside.

Waters Edge Lodge wasn't super nice, but it was OK, and the location was great. The staff was really nice, and the place seemed happy. I saw the dining room, exercise room, a little café, and a rec room. The apartments that I saw were good but smaller than I thought.

My mother was a resident of The Lodge for over 3 years. She enjoyed her time there. She was able to find a group to play bridge with and had a great time at bingo every night. The owners are genius at hiring caring and compassionate employees. My mother had some mild cognitive impairment and the staff was wonderful to her. I highly recommend The Lodge. Your loved ones could not be better taken care of.

We moved my dad to Waters Edge Lodge in May 2017, and couldn't be happier with how well he is taken care of. The Caregivers, Nursing Staff, and Admins are great! We no longer worry as we know he is in good hands. Due to his level of care he resides on the first floor receiving premium care which is all inclusive unlike most facilities that are a la carte. We had visited several facilities, and were getting discouraged until we walked in to Waters Edge Lodge and immediately knew we had found the best place for my dad. His room has a beautiful view of the lagoon, and he enjoys nightly Bingo and Movies. They also have activiies throughout the day, and if he needs to go to Safeway or CVS there is a walking path that leads right to the shopping center. We visit dad 2 - 3 times a week and both the employees and the residents always seem genuinely happy...which tells me alot! We also enjoy the fresh Peets coffee and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in the cafe while we visit with dad :-).
