Teddie B. is the Administrator for the Fallbrook Adult/Senior Day Care Center for the past 11 years. She is the consummate expert on dementia illnesses, caregiver burnout and client care. Her compassion, love, respect, honor and care for the clients and the caregivers go far beyond her job requirements. Each caregiver has her cell phone number if they need her advice 24/7. Teddie has a huge heart for the client and the caregiver that goes without saying how much she cares about the well-being for both the client and their caregivers. Teddie is often sought out by caregiving companies, new caregivers and others in the industry as a great resource.

Teddie is the ultimate caregiver to both the client and their caregiver. She cares about each aspect of caregiving, knowing how difficult it is to care for a loved one with dementia, cognitive impairment or a traumatic brain injury.
She loves, loves, loves her clients that come to the Day Care Center. They are loved and know it. She runs a top-notch, clean, friendly and warm day care center. The caregivers know that Teddie truly cares about them and their loved one. She inspires the caregivers to go the mile in helping their loved one. Often, recommending in-home caregiving as a supplement to the day care center. She is a champion against elder abuse, neglect often intervening on behalf of a client with their current situation at home. She motivates the caregiver, often the spouse, to take a break for themselves and get rejuvenated by taking care of themselves. She ensures that each client has a level of care at the center that exceeds the expectations of licensing, the spouse and the other caregiving agencies she works with.

The caregivers and clients alike appreciate Teddie's earnestness, care, love, warmth and the hope she gives them. Not so much hope that there is a "ready" cure just around the corner but hope that she is there to help the caregiver and the client through the "journey" of living with dementia. She also has given many public seminars about dementia and how to navigate the journey. She is always willing to share her expertise and how to in the dementia and traumatic brain injury arenas. I, personally, have learned that the journey with dementia does not need to be debilitating to the caregiver or the family. That there are options for help and hope.
Teddie makes sure her clients are treated with the utmost respect. She has a large group of supporters throughout Fallbrook. Her day care program is the best with entertainers from ukulele players to dancers to pet therapy folks to Christmas shows "“ you name it, she makes sure her clients are well-balanced with outside world participation.

I have seen Teddie work with remarkable care and focused passion. I have heard Teddie speak, with both love and kindness to people in her care, and also with force and conviction about the Day Care Center to groups of people in the community. And I have watched Teddie listen carefully to everyone with whom she comes in contact. She is a remarkable asset to The Foundation For Senior Care, and unselfishly provides wonderful service to our community. I remember hearing a not-so-old person sitting in a Teddie presentation saying he wanted to be in Teddie's Center if and when he needed that care. I would like to take second place in that line.
