The rooms are very comfortable and my mother even has a corner studio with 2 windows. I am so grateful to Elinor and Sam for being instrumental in getting my mom admitted and settled in with Lisa the head social worker. The staff has been very welcoming and I am so grateful. The residents can play cards, bingo, go to religious services, sit outside in nice weather, attend baking and other classes. The Boulevard offers its residents whatever level of assisted care is needed. They will help you get down to the meals if necessary, bath on a regular basis, go to the beauty parlor and much more. My mom is very happy there with the staff and food.

I cannot say anything about the inside the rooms for I never saw the rooms due to covid-19 no visits were allowed. My negative review is related to the very very very poor communication by the social workers and over all the staff. My husband is disabled and unable to walk because he had a surgery and got very weak. We took him there for rehabilitation NOT to DIE there. He kept calling begging us to take him out of there. He said they ignore his cries for help. They left him in filth and they starve him. They starve him for they ignored our suggestion and paid attention the notes of the notes that were written a month before. I kept telling them these notes are a month old. Now his health requires to eat solid food to get his energy to stand up on his own feet but they kept giving him a bowl of cream. Then I had to fix his phone and return to him . The nurse instead of giving the device to my husband she gave it to another patient. The other patient left the facility to transfer to another hospital and we found the phone through investigation miles away from the queens Blvd extended facility.

Please physically go and talk to staff members both night and day time staff before admitting a family member into this facility. The nursing home is well kept, clean, and fairly big but besides that I sadly did not see much more. My closest family member, my best friend was admitted into this hospital for about 3 months and we knew his days were coming to an end because of his disease. When I went to say goodbye, after going for months, this stood out to me the most, the reason why I am writing this review, a nurse, not the first time I had bad run ins from a few of them but one in particular stood out to me, I remember her exact outfit, face, and words as I walked out sobbing. She told me to "Control my Emotions". The blonde receptionist I went to with tears, comforted me. She is a god sent! This has ate at me everyday and I figured maybe it could help someone in the same situation as myself. Just be aware because sympathy was not shown to me once.

If I can give this place minus 5 stars, I would love to. If you love and care about your family members, please DO NOT have this place be where they get treated!!! Their care is to have many patients for them to get more money out of the insurance companies. Here is my experience that I have written to them directly: It is very disturbing for me to write this comment. First of all, I get a call from the admission's office at 11pm to get the information of the patient. But knowing that the next day is Saturday, I let it go. However, upon the arrival, there was no formal check in of any sort. I had to ask multiple people numerous times to get close to the answers. Apparently, the social worker didn't even bother finding me when I was there almost everyday. Two business days before the discharge date was given to us, I have lingered around the social worker's office to talk about the discharge. When I expressed my frustration of the arrival, she assured me of a smooth discharge. However, my mother has been discharged without her surgical equipments. After two phone calls and two different shifts of staff team, I am learning that I have rushed the discharge date and that there was a mistake on their behalf with the surgical equipment order. I am not only disturbed that I have put your facility to take care of my mom but now I am disgusted by the way this facility is ran. How can not a single soul of the facility knows what they are doing. It is just absurd that an organization doesn't have any system down to offer the best care for the patients and their families.

This is the worst place ever!!! People only work here to get a pay check!! They don't take care of your loved ones!!! Our elders need attention as we know one day we will get there once, seems the people who work here think they won't ever get to be old. They sometimes don't feed the elder, some require special attention as they need to be changed because they can't go to the bathroom themselves, they leave them without changing them over 24 hours, they take some to therapy with out changing them, taking them smelling bad. This place is dirty, it smells bad!! Whatever you do, DONT COME HERE!!!
