The Tuesday and Thursday program for men is a wonderful outlet for care giver and client. The staff treated my husband with respect and humor. He left each time saying that everyone is so nice and he enjoyed the day. From the administrator on down, everyone was always kind and encouraging., I highly recommend this Adult Day Center.

My Dad has been going to Serenity now going on 4 months and I can’t say enough how Great this place is. It has been a Godsend for me as well as my Dad. We couldn't be more Blessed! My Dad is very happy going there each day and is soooo well taken care of, I don’t have to worry when I leave him and go to work. The care he receives is as if he was their loved one. He is kept busy throughout the day with different activities, not only physically but for his memory as well, and even field trips from time to time, not to mention home cooked meals. Overall rating in every field is way above Excellent!, I don't believe he could be in better hands. I can't say enough about the staff, they are absolutely Awesome! I honestly believe Serenity is run by nothing but Angels!

Staff is so kind and caring that when I leave mom at Serenity to go to work, I stop worrying about her because I know she is safe and cared for. They have activities for different ‘skill’ levels and mom enjoys the music and any individual attention.

My husband has been attending the "men's club" for 3 months now. The Tuesday/Thursday schedule gives me two days to relax, visit with friends or go to meetings. For my husband, he has needed social activities with people other than me! I tried having a caregiver come to the house for several hours a week but that didn't provide enough activity for my husband. At the Men's Club he is encouraged to interact with others and enjoy the activities planned for the day. He particularly likes the musicians who come play for the group. The staff is always pleasant and always let's me know how his day went. I recommend Serenity both for yourself and your husband/partner/father.

My husband, Don, has attended Serenity two days a week for the past two years and it has been a godsend. There has always been good communication with me and the staff is great and caring with lots of fun activities. Serenity provides bus transportation and the bus drivers have also been very caring. It is now necessary for Don to move to a Memory Care facility. I highly recommend Serenity which was a wonderful help during this transition time for us.

After visiting other adult day centers I chose Serenity primarily because of the staff and the location. I like the overall atmosphere which feels more like home to me than other facilities. The outside patio is something I enjoy when the weather is nice. The food is good and the people are nice. I especially enjoy the worship services and musical activities.

Extremely happy with the care for my husband. The staff is caring and so helpful. Larry looks forward to every Tuesday and Thursday. Even wants to go on the weekends. They keep him busy with activities. A wonderful place to give caretakers a break that we so desperately need.

George has been going to Serenity for four years and he has enjoyed it and loves to go. The staff are all wonderful and makes it a very nice place for everyone going there. From the meals being great, the entertainment, to socializing and crafts and outings. I myself, Darlene, George's wife, has been to the center many times and have talked to the staff and saw how nice it is there and they are all very kind and caring. They all work very hard to make it a nice place for all who go there!!

I can’t say enough good things about Serenity! My husband has been going there five days a week for over fours years now. He started attending two months before he officially received his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. It took him a week or two to adjust, but then he looked forward to going every day—it gave him a sense of purpose, a reason to get up, get dressed and go. I was still working full time when he started going and it gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in a good place, with caring, conscientious staff, in a very positive atmosphere. He is kept engaged in activities that have helped “exercise “ his brain, as well as projects and games that help with balance and manual dexterity and eye hand coordination. Carolyn and Amy and all the staff are always welcoming and knowledgeable and ready with helpful suggestions as new challenges present. I highly recommend Serenity to provide a good quality of life for your loved one as well as you, the caregiver.

The staff just can’t be beat! They are so outgoing and friendly and they really care about the people who attend. My dad was hesitant to go at first, but ended up actually looking forward to going every time. He enjoyed the live music, talking with the other patrons and staff and really felt a part of the group. I am so thankful to Carolyn and all the rest of the Serenity staff for treating him like family!

I was hesitant to put my wife in adult day care, but friends and family who found it necessary to to seek further help for a loved one recommended Serenity highly. The staff were both gracious and kind, the facility is next to a park where on nice days the attendees can be outside. My wife's entire experience prepared her for residential care and eased the transition for both of us. I concur with the advice I was given and am thankful for the care my wife received.

Mary, my wife was diagnosed with dementia at a very early age. We were both still working but when she became disabled from the dementia and when she couldn't work any longer, it was imperative that we find a facility for her to stay during the day. I had her in one place before Serenity that basically kept all the people in one room and wouldn't allow them the freedom to move about. My wife did not like that and she would become angry and combative. After about a month, they said it just wouldn't work out so I had to find another place. Our neurologist's assistant put me in contact with an assistance group and they gave me a list of facilities that would be a good fit for my wife. I was looking at them and their addresses and Serenity was close to my work so that was the first place I went to (and didn't look at the others). The minute I walk in it was like 180 degrees from where we came from! It was very open and was more family oriented per say. The people were not hoarded in a group, they were actually free to walk around inside the facility. The facility was clean, airy and light. One of the owners of Serenity actually came to my office for the initial interview and it just worked out terrific. I remember the first couple of days Mary was there. You could just tell she liked it. When she was at the other place, she would be resistant about going. With Serenity, the second and third day as soon as we would approach it my wife would show signs that she was very happy. When I take her out of the truck, she would smile and laugh because she knew she was going to a place that she likes. It was a no brainer that that was the place that was the best fit for us. One of the things that they do is that people there take an interest not only in the patients or the residents but also the family members. I was greeted with the same level of courtesy and caring as my wife and they really make you feel good. It's a very loving place. The people are always in a good mood no matter how bad or foul your mood may be. They always greet you with a smile. It also seems like everybody is on a first name basis there. It’s not so formal or robotic, it’s actually warm. It's almost like walking into your favorite aunt's house. Its very family oriented. And like I say the single biggest thing was that they care as much about me and how I'm dealing with Mary's disease as Mary is because when you're talking about Alzheimer’s or any form of brain injury or illness the caregiver is dealing with it as well as the afflicted person. Serenity has been Godsend for me. I can go to work and earn. They're very affordable. They're one of the lesser costs than some of the other places and as far as I'm concerned the care there is better than you could get anywhere. I would recommend it to anybody anytime for anything whether you're dealing with a child or with a disability that needs day care. They're perfect for that for an elderly, for your grandma, for your wife or for your husband. It's a great fit all around. It's terrific. The people there really go out o their way to make sure that you are comfortable as well as your loved one that is going there. It's a great place! If they need $1000 a day I would find a way to pay it. Because I work and make a living and not on any assistance, I pay out of the pocket and don’t hesitate if I budgeted in my budget. It’s affordable but it’s a lot of money when you look at it every day five days a week but it worth every penny. I'd recommend it to anybody whether you're getting assistance or not. It's the best place not just your loved one but for you.

I am the full time caregiver for my husband who is in the moderate stage of Alzheimer's. Serenity Adult Daycare Center was recommended to me and I am so glad! Serenity has been such a blessing to both my husband and I. It provides me a much needed break and equally as important it provides my husband with the opportunity to be himself without judgement, as well as, keeping him engaged and social. Serenity is a bright, cheery, homelike atmosphere with a wonderful, caring staff! As you walk in you are always greeted with a smile and each and everyone is so kind and compassionate! It always smells so good as they are cooking up a delicious variety of well balanced meals. The activities are varied to meet individual needs and include crafts, musicians, pet therapy, storytime, daily news, exercise, and church service. There are weekly field trips and periodically offer other services such as foot care. The owner is very "hands on" and proactive in learning how to keep activities fresh, varied, and appropriate. If you have been considering daycare for your loved one, I highly recommend Serenity! You will feel very comfortable knowing that your loved one is getting excellent care from a such a compassionate staff.

Serenity Adult Day Center has been the best thing to ever happen to my family. I am the full time caregiver for my brother and Serenity Adult Day Center provides me the opportunity to go to work with the knowledge he is being cared for by loving, trustworthy and super kind staff! He loves the home cooking!!! He has made freindships with many of the other members and has so much fun. He calls the center his " Happy Place"! They go on amazing outings, have musicians come in to play music and do interesting and relevent projects/crafts. Serenity has brought new life back into my brother's life. He looks forward to going everyday ! Thank you Serenity Staff for bringing us all peace of mind! The Powers-Dowd Family
