looking for small residential assisted living home for 93 year old mom in north las vegas area. Any recommendatons?

Can you get the VA assistance if you are divorced, but were married for 40 years to your ex husband that was in the Navy and discharged honorably? My Mom has been in assisted living, but is in Skilled Nursing for rehab due to a broken hip. Also can any care be taken off her taxes assisted living or long term care?. She also has moderate dementia and may have to live in a long term care facility if she can't go back to Assisted living.

Hi.. I am Nell Hard. . I did get my award from the V.A, I will be able to pay 2,700.00 for 1 B.R. now.. But I am checking on the PENSION FROM VET. WAR..TIME..P.O W, I AM ENTILED TO SOME BUT I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT IT..CAN YOU FOLKS ADVISE ME AGAIN? THANK YOU...

Hi.. I am Nell Hard.. I have some assistance from V.A. but not too much . I can only pay up to 2300.00 per month .Less if possible .I am still good enough to where I do not need lots of care, only in my I am 80 and a widow .My dog Polly will live w/ me . I want very much to move to cooking...a lot. I can manage my own private things...well Dressing etc. I want very much to move to COURT,,,My check will start coming in 2 weeks, ,,to my bank Please see if you can accept me...Imay not be arounfd much longer and I want to live as happy and nice , as I possibly can w/ dignity.I need people around me.I am totally alone now.

I have the same question.
Are levels of care set by the state? Where would I find that information. In looking at Florida there seems to be 4 levels of care and in VA 6 levels. I am not sure if it is by state or just the Assisted Living Facilities we looked at. Can someone clarify??
