My family is using www.iamfine.com for an automated daily check in call to our elderly mom that lives alone. Love the fact that I can get a text, email or call if she doesn't check in. Then if one of our care circle knows she is ok and checks in on her behalf, I along with my other family members are all updated.

There is a service called www.iamfine.com that has the person that lives alone call in every day. If they forget the system calls them. The system then sends a SMS or email to the care givers with a status update. They are new but it looks really solid.

The SageMinder System also provides check-in calls and medication reminder calls to seniors -with notification to the caregiver via text or email.
