Ron Kauffman, Certified Senior Advisor


Ron Kauffman is a Geriatric Care Consultant & Planner. He has more than 40 years of business experience that includes a decade of work assisting boomers and seniors with issues of aging. In 2005, he was selected to attend the White House Conference on Aging. In 2006, he was granted the Positive Images of Aging Award by the eight-state Southeastern Associations of Area Agencies on Aging. He is the author of the book, "Caring for a Loved One With Alzheimer's Disease," that he wrote when he became a caregiver for his mother who has Alzheimer's disease.

For more than five years, Kauffman hosted and produced a live talk radio program that addressed health, wealth, and lifestyle issues facing boomers and seniors. In 2007, he was named a fellow by the National Press Foundation for his work in broadcast journalism. He is a syndicated newspaper columnist and contributing expert to several magazines dealing with issues of aging, caregiving and Alzheimer's disease.

Kauffman is president of Resources for Successful Aging, a Geriatric Consulting & Planning company that helps families facing Alzheimer's disease and other caregiving challenges by offering situational assessments, care plans, advance directive reviews, and reliable expert referrals. He and his wife, Lisa, who is also in private practice as a geriatric care manager, live in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
