A longtime healthcare advocate, Joel Gottsacker has extensive experience providing geriatric social work services to older adults and their families. After 15 years working in state- and federally-funded home-based care management programs in the Detroit metropolitan area, Gottsacker founded GeriatRx with Amy Wood, a registered nurse, to provide case management services to any family in need of help caring for an older adult. A certified case manager, Gottsacker is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the Case Management Society of America.
