Caring for me Member since April 28, 2010I live by myself, with Marley (blind German shepherd dog. We met, ten years ago at an animal shelter and it was love at first sight. I am at this time in the process of obtaining a service dog. My father had Alzheimer disease, and I feel I am beginning to have problems such as unable to keep track of day, or even month, along with other minor problems. I find myself writing lists to help me keep track of things that need to be done or already done. Sometimes I lose the list which is annoying. I don't feel I am any older then my late twenties, unless I glance in the mirror, what a shock. I do and still have maintained my sense of humor, and many people & kids seek me out for advice or to visit. I have 12 hrs of paid help a week. None of my five children live near me. Two live in high altitude and I have COPD environmental,& oxygen is a problem. We are looking at moving options. They don't feel I have a problem, but they are not around me very often.
