Aaron P Mulvey, NFA
Member since January 28, 2009Aaron has been working in or around nursing homes his entire professional career. In college Aaron worked as a volunteer in the nursing homes that surrounded his college campus, knowing that this work would lead him to a deeper knowledge and understanding of this business once he graduated. Through his classroom exercises and internship work, he worked hands-on in every department to absorb the knowledge he needed to administrate an effective nursing home that focuses on dignity and quality. (Departments included: activities, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, dietary, bookkeeping, and administration)
Aarons undergraduate work focused in psychology with a minor in education. This background enables him to work cooperatively with families as well as employees to guide with the power of education at the helm. Families appreciate this type of leadership which provides a feel of dignified comfort and openness in communication.
His post-graduate work sharpened his skills in the field of Long Term Care Administration. These studies gave him a deeper understanding of how the business aspect works and an firm grasp on state and federal programs which is essential to a prosperous long term care program.
He has many years of expertise in the fields of long term care, home health, hospice, and all oter state and federal programs essential to producing dignity and qualtiy care. He also has knowledge of the legal issues that face this industry from the family viewpoint as well as the professional viewpoint. His experience with the long term survey process (also known as "inspections") also enables him to stay abreast of all new and old concepts that produce quality care while staying within the guidelines set by the state and federal regulators.
His years of exposure to these programs have given him a knowledge base that leads to excelence when tested by auditors. He produces low turn-over rates with his staff, low weight loss, low use of restraints, non existant "home-grown" pressure ulcer rates, and high confidence levels from his families, employees, peers, and supervisors.
Aaron has run for-profit facilities, not-for-profit facilities, as well as Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC's). For the majority of his career he has supervised multiple facilities simultaneously, which is a great challenge. He has mentored countless employees, and has trained others in the long term care field to also become licensed administrators. In a nut-shell.... He is the expert on your side.
His own personal confrontation with placing his loved ones within these programs is what drives him to help other families with their struggles. Aaron's family could rely on his knowledge. You also can rely on him! Take Aaron with you on your journey.
