Carolyn L. Rosenblatt, Attorney & Nurse

Carolyn Rosenblatt is a Registered Nurse and Attorney with 40 years of combined experience in her two professions. She is a family mediator for those who are having disputes about aging loved ones. As a nurse, she has extensive experience with geriatrics, chronic illness, pain management, dementias, disability, family dynamics, and death and dying. As a trial attorney, she advocated for for the rights of injured individuals and neglected elders.

Together with her husband, Dr. Mikol Davis, she founded AgingParents.com, a resource for those who are caring for aging loved ones at home or in facilities. She is also the author of The Boomers Guide to Aging Parents, a nine part series offering practical solutions to common legal and health care problems caregivers and adult children of aging loved ones face every day.

Why I Care

"I was inspired by an outstanding grandmother to appreciate the aging process and to become an R.N. I worked as a visiting nurse over thousands of home visits and I came to truly respect the complexity of caring for elders, both at home and in care facilities. I am a caregiver myself. I have cared for a mentally ill mother over decades of her life and still attend to the many needs of an impaired sibling. My mother in law is 90 and needs help from both my husband and from me regularly.

As a lawyer, I represented elders who had been neglected or abused. I am a strong advocate and my experience in the law can help those who feel intimidated by legal issues.

I have a lot of personal experience with family conflicts. As a mediator, I have worked with many families struggling with sibling and elder disputes, and I have devoted my skills to helping them resolve their most painful conflicts."
