Caring.com Joins Entrepreneurs Foundation as 200th Member
Founders donating stock to establish corporate foundation; Community involvement program helps care for the aging in Bay Area
San Mateo, CA (March 12, 2008) - Caring.com is pleased to announce its participation as the 200th member of the Entrepreneurs Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging high-growth companies in corporate citizenship and philanthropic efforts benefiting their communities.
Caring.com has donated 1% of the company founders' stock to the foundation and has built a community involvement program for its employees to work with local eldercare service organizations.
"As a trusted online resource for people across the country caring for aging parents, it is our goal to also become a trusted partner to local community organizations who are working to help the senior population," said Andy Cohen, cofounder and CEO of Caring.com. "Our stock will one day fund a number of initiatives, and every three months our company will set aside a day when all employees can help a different service organization.
