Revenue Manager

The Revenue Manager is responsible for revenue accounting and calculating sales compensation. This position ensures that the accounting transactions in this area are performed in a well-controlled, timely and accurate manner in accordance with GAAP. In addition, this “hands on” position is a key participant in our month-end close process and in the preparation of financial analyses and reports. Working as an individual contributor, this person will also work on revenue forecasts, implementing and maintaining internal controls, and a variety of projects. In the future, this individual may also have responsibility for management of staff.
Requirements/Skills
- Accounting degree or similar. MBA a plus.
- CPA qualifications with 3 year experience in auditing.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP with strong knowledge of revenue recognition rules and practical experience in their application.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining internal controls in a Sarbanes-Oxley environment.
- Preferred experience in Quickbooks and Dynamics/Great Plains.
Responsibilities
Revenue
- Responsible for all aspects of revenue recognition for the company.
- Calculate sales commissions to be paid each month.
Internal Controls
- Monitor compliance with policies and procedures in a Sarbanes-Oxley environment.
Other
- Be a resource for technical accounting issues.
- Backup other areas in Finance when needed.
- Take a leadership role interfacing with other departments and meeting customer satisfaction goals related to Finance operations.
