If you think your parent may have had a stroke, act F.A.S.T.:

F ace: Ask your parent to smile. See if one side of his mouth droops.
A rms: Ask your parent to close his eyes and raise both arms. See if one of his arms drifts downward.
S peech: Ask your parent to repeat a simple sentence, such as "I went to the store today."
T est all three symptoms.
If your parent has difficulty with any of these, call 911 right away.
