Hi Back Home, Welcome to Caring.com, and thanks for posting in this support group! You didn't mention your brother's age, but I'm assuming he's a boomer or older adult and offer these informational resources as a starting point...

Money & Legal Matters Solution Center: http://www.caring.com/senior-money-legal

Mental Health America: http://www.nmha.org/go/about-us[nmha.org]

Geriatric Care Managers in your area: http://www.caring.com/local/geriatric-care-managers

Local Area on Aging Agencies in your area: http://www.caring.com/local/area-agency-on-aging -- they can help refer you to local support resources

I hope these suggestions are helpful to you!

Thank you!! My brother is 51yrs old. I believe the Mental Health America should have what we need :)

Any tips on finding a good temporary home for his dog? He will need his buddy when he gets out of treatment and home again! Yours Sincerely! <3

Hi Back Home, Here are possible suggestions (I don't have personal or professional experience with these resources -- just found on the Internet via Google)...

FosterDogs.com - Finding Temporary Housing for a Dog: http://fosterdogs.com/i-need-a-temporary-home-for-my-dog.html[fosterdogs.com]

Rover.com -- a pet sitter service (where you find hosts for your dog while you're away): http://www.rover.com/[rover.com]

DogVacay is similar to Rover.com: http://dogvacay.com/[dogvacay.com]

Your local animal shelter may also have some even better suggestions. Good luck!
