I am in that position right now. I am unemployed and I need a triple bypass and two knee replacements done. I do want reform but not reform that pays for boarder jumpers and destroys the American way. As far as what I said coming true, they are open your eyes. They had us all looking at health care and ran a bill through that lets them detain people without representation and without being read there rights and they can be detained indefinitely, they put it through as a terrorist bill, but no where in it is it said that it can not be used on U.S. citizens. When all these liberal Democrats get voted out in November and we take back this Country and run it by the Constitution, we will all be so much better off. One good thing about his new health care it created 16000 jobs at the IRS. Why not just reset the standards of acceptance for Medicare and medicaid? Its to simple for Obama and leaves no room for hidden costs and money slipped to Accorn.

I agree this sounds like Glen Beck to me. Where are they getting all of this rethoric. It is not true and everytime another person says it, it adds more untruths and threats.

For those of you who need surgeries and have other serious ailments and can't afford the procedures, now is your time.

Just watch how it unfolds for you.

Those of us who are opotimistic about reform (although we admit it doesn't go far enough) will be waiting for the advantages this will be for you and for us and so many many more.

God bless you and may you get the help you need and deserve.

To Lisa, Cindy and all of you. What we need is a Single Payer system. The not-for-profit government (we the people) provides the health insurance, not the for-profit insurance companies. This system provides good, comprehensive care to everyone and saves tons of money. The independent, non-partisan studies bear this out. In 2004, The Lewin Group, one of the highest respected medical research and policy consulting firms, which consulted for both the Kerry and Bush Campaigns, provided a study for the State of California. It determined that a Single Payer System, to their surprise, was the most efficient system by far. It found that California would save 30 billion dollars per year!!!!!

In the U.S., we pay twice per capita what the next most expensive system pays - France's. The World Health Organization ranks the U.S. system 37th in the world, just below Costa Rica and just above Slovenia! Our premiums increase at the rate of 16% to 30% each year. 30 to 35 cents of every dollar we spend on health care goes to admin. and profit of the insurance and drug companies. In a Single Payer system, ala Medicare, increases would be held to 3%. Under the current system, a citizen cannot get insurance with a pre-existing condition. Under single Payer and under the Obama bill, that goes away. Even with all its flaws, the Obama bill, according to the Congressional Budget Office, is a deficit reduction bill. It will save us all money, just nowhere near as much as Single Payer would. Under our current system, once we get sick, either our rates go through the roof or the company cancels our policy. Under the Obama plan and under a Single Payer Plan that stops.

I asked one of my doctors how many insurance plans his patients bring to his office. The answer: a shocking 600!!!!!!! Under a Single Payer Plan, that office would have one plan. Single Payer reduces red tape, it doesn't increase it. Unfortunately, the Obama Plan does not reduce red tape, because the private insurance companies are still in the game.

The Obama Bill is only a first step. It is seriously flawed, but I think and hope that it will be improved upon over the years.

I am working with others in California to bring Single Payer to this state. Check out a couple of websites: healthcareforallcalifornia.org and onecarenow.org.

Where am I getting it. I have a copy of the bill. Lets think about this for a minute with an open mind. Why are insurance rates so high? You have Judges granting these multimillion dollar law suit daily, that they have to get somewhere. Some fool thinks he can drive, eat a donuts and talk on a cell phone and spills his coffee, then some liberal Judge awards him millions. You do not hear them saying anything about the drug company's that make a thousand percent profit on every little pill. Insurance company's have went bankrupt now because of lawsuits. Yet these Huge Drug company's prices keep going up and up and up with the insurance company's paying for them. Yet Obama fails to mention that. Ask your self why and look into it as I have. Follow the money trail, look at all Obamas men from Wall Street and What Huge Corporations payed in millions into his campaign. Go look I beg you. See what a piece of crap he is. Look at all his lies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfu1_Scgyow

What do you all think will happen when the insurance company's are forced to cover everyone. Simple they will not be in that business, my wife's company says they will stop selling health insurance right before it is put into effect. They will all stop selling health insurance or go bankrupt. Which Obamas already knows. Then we will have Complete Government ran health care. I am sure your all smart enough to realize how bad that will be. If not talk to some vets about the VA hospital. Lets see they killed my father by giving him the wrong operation, which killed him a year later. Before that they gave him the wrong medication that put him in a coma for two weeks. My brother went to a VA hospital for a simple knee replacement and woke up to both knees being banged up, they took parts out of one for the other and besides the infection he was in a wheel chair for four months. I had mine and was walking in two weeks. Difference was I went to a real hospital. I have heard some VA hospitals are not that bad but most are. If this health care plan was so great then why is it Obama, congress, and the Sennett are excluded from it. Its good enough for us folks but those rich folk gotta have better. :)
Im sorry but I have been in and around hospitals with my parents and other loved ones, more then you can imagine, and I know this is a huge mistake, because money just has no meaning when you want the person you love that is laying there in a hospital bed to live. Trust me. So now when your Mom or Dad is on that Bed do you want to decide what there life is worth to you, or do you want our Government deciding what there life is worth to them.

Health care in this Country is the best in the WORLD. We have the best doctors we have the best hospitals that are within a short distance to almost all of us. We have ambulance personnel that get us there in minutes. People come from all over the world here to be treated. Why? We are the best. Is the best cheep in anything we buy? Have you ever wondered why doctors flock here to practice? Which allows us to have so many, many, hospitals to choose from. They come here because in there Country, the government controls there income, and because they want to be apart of the best in procedures and in education. Now ask your self what will happen here after this takes effect? Do you think we will have the same amount of hospitals? Doctors? same quality? same speed to the hospital after we chop off our leg? No we will not. government offices, government anything never runs smooth and efficient we all know that. Will the doctors stay? Yes the Doctors that finished last in there class. The great doctors will be on a plane to a Country where they can make the money they deserve for the 7-15 years of hard work and training they had to master. One last thing are not we the people living in a free Country where we can Make the choice of what doctor to see and what hospital to go to. I want to be able to decide what my loved ones life is worth to me. I will tell you sooner or later you all will be at that bed willing to give everything you have for that person to live. I want the best doctor there.

We do need a single payer plan or even a public option but some of us realize (and I'm sure you are one of those because you seem to have your facts straight) that getting this reform as insufficient as it may be was monumental.

It's hard to believe that people don't want a better way. Can you imagine all the work the Drs. offices are having to do to work with 600 insurance plans?

I have Humana Insurance Company for my medicine, they often won't approve a Drs. prescription and require "pre-approval". That means that the Dr. has to call them and get prior approval for the med before they will pay even a portion.

His nurse calls and goes through the many prompts and finally gets a live person and has to catch him between patients to get him personally on the phone to tell them why he has chosen this particular medicine. For crying out loud, it's not marijuana! It's just for hypertension. They tell me it takes up to an hour. He is so frustrated by the process. It has happened for me alone, 3 times within the last 6 months.

I am pleased with this one step forward to reform but I fear that if it doesn't get the savings that is predicted that the right-wing will reverse it when they get in power and we will be back where we started from or even worse with insurance premiums rising.

Being a caregiver 24/7 is no fun. I am caring for my 89 year old mom soon to be 90 and I know first hand but if you in the middle income bracket there is help for you and you certainly desire it. Try Aid and Attendance with VA. Help is there for you or try going on linefor State Respite. You do need a break with or without health reform.

Having said that Im happy to say that I think your fears are unwarranted. Things will not be worsened for you if you are not in the top 5% income bracket. Watch my word.

I fully understand where your both coming from and do not think I do not want something done. This whole thing is made into a big confusing thing when it could be so very simple. After my Dad passed away my Mother was living on Social Security, for her and myself. I was ten back then 1982. We had small hobbie farm with a few horses and a couple cows... After my Dad passed she was left with a ton of medical bills. My Mom was the type where bills came first and food and all else came last. We had canned food from a huge garden and freezers full of beef from what we had raised... My mom sold all the tractor, animals, logs... to get them paid off. Then my Mother finds out she has an aneurysm and needs an operation. She applied for medicaid and they tell her she has to sign a paper to place a lean on the farm in order to qualify. She would not do it because me the only one living at home was to get the place. My brothers and sister were a lot older then me. My Mom was 47 when I was born... So my Mom not having told anyone ended up getting rushed to the hospital one night after putting up with a pain in her side for two days I snuck down to the phone and called an ambulance. She died two days later.

That having been said please do not think I know how important it is to have health care. There are a lot of simple things they could do. They need to not force people into signing away there lives work in order to qualify. Like they told my Mother. Another thing why not just raise the income limit so it is easier to qualify for Medicaid and medicare? Is that so hard to do? Them they need to set some Court standards for these law suits instead of having Judges grant millions of dollars for stupid stuff. Even if the person deserves a settlement lets get the numbers down to reality here. It causes the doctors to charge more because there insurance is so high. It causes the insurance company's to charge more. Shit rolls down hill as they say. Then this thing with Liberal Democrats doing this plan behind close doors and giving bribes and treats to force people to sign it. That is just wrong. This is not Chicago mobsters there our elected officials that represent our Country. We are to set an example as being a democratic society. Now what will happen because of it all. Simple everyone is so upset about them going against what the majority of Americans wanted, which was not to pass this bill, that it will be a very very very long time before you will see a Democrat elected in this Country. And Liberals may as well just forget about it completely. One of my biggest things is what Ronald Reagan said about it and I feel he was completely right. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRdLpem-AAs

You are sooo right. This bill that was passed will make changes sooo slowly and the insurance companies will have plenty of time to find loopholes. They will begin raising rates immediately, while they rest of us have to wait till 2014 before anything is really changed. Obama and his rivals have all benefited from the high premiums and high deductables. They do not profit unless the corporate CEOs benefit. Single premium is what is best for the American people. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this one out. At the very least, the public option would help. But no, it is not to be as long as this conflict of interest exists.

I have to make one reply to your e-mail. Ronald Regan and his administration was the begining of all the problems we have today. Don't you remember how high your property taxes went after he cut education from the federal budget. He called this lowering taxes. In realty it mearly traded high income taxes for high property taxes. Be very weary of politicians who preach cutting taxes.

They hire people to do surveys and tell them what they have to say to get all the votes. They promise the world. Look at Obama he lies every single time he talks. He has the job and he still keeps lying. As for Reagan He spent less then any President sense then by far. Reagan kept government small he did not add to it. Cutting spending is the wise thing to do if you can not afford it. I only wish Reagan was her to teach Obama that. Gee when your husband is out of work and your only working a few hours is that the time to go get a 72 inch Tv with matching furniture,This Country is borrowing one billion a day just for the war alone and he spends trillions and gives it to his rich Wall street buddys. And you tell me how bad Reagan was. Shit. Bet you wish we had Reagan right now. The tax he just gave us our great great great grand children will still be paying on, and they will not be living in a free Country like we have.

How old are you? You were probably in diapers when Regan was president. You have no idea how bad he was. He cut the taxes on the richest people in this country. If you were not rich, your share of the tax cut was practically nothing. Before Regan, there was no problem with health care and education was top notch. Since then they have been dumbing down Americans. You are probably the beneficiary of this dumbing down. If something isn't done now, the middle class will disappear. The problem now is that the Dems are pretending to be for the middle class. Just like the Reps pretended to be religious.

I agree the dems are pretending to be for the middle class. There goal is to have two classes of people the very rich and the poor. Do you think this housing problem and unemployment rates are not planned by "someone" They take private property, they create fear, they create poverty, they take over business... Yes and Reagan was man enough to get on national TV and tell everyone how wrong he was. He told us how there ways of looking at everything was so much different then ours and we need to never make that mistake again. Remember the hostages, the Marines that died, one of which was my brother. Yes as I said before he was not perfect but he sure as heck is 100% better then this one we have now that is bankrupting this Country. Do you realize any day now our dollar could be worth nothing. As soon as our bonds will not sell on the world market as it is coming to right now our dollar is done. What happens tomorrow morning and no store will take your dollar? Yet Obama will not listen to the experts and just keeps throwing away more. Everyone with an Education knows he is trying to bankrupt this Country but there afraid to stop him because of the idiots that are still worshiping him, starting riots... Everyone needs to wake up and just realize he lied to get in office and brain washed a lot of people. We all need to just admit we made a big mistake by voting for him. I do not blame the ones that voted for him at all, the corporations spent so much money finding out all the lies he would have to tell. If what a person is saying is from the heart and things they believe in it is easy. When it is lie after lie after lie that person better have a teleprompter. Just for the record Iran/Contra well I do not see why you say it was against the Constitution, maybe you see something I do not see. However as I said Reagan admitted he was wrong and told us all the middle eastern Country's are hard to understand and we need to stay out of all of them. All his speech's are on U-tube if you care to look them up.

The harsh economic medicine of the Federal Reserve Board, backed by Reagan, squeezed inflation out of the American economy and set the nation on the right economic course. During Reagan’s second term America prospered. Although the budget deficit continued to grow -- arguably the price tag of ending the Cold War -- the United States experienced the longest sustained peacetime prosperity in its history.

Read that last part all you Reagan haters!! Ha Ha Ha :)

I disagree! Reagan did not end the Cold War. Russia was bankrupt after fighting in Afganistan for 10 years and losing. The United States will face the same result very shortly. Too much money is being wasted on killing people. If the Reps win the next election, they will expande the war budget and there will be nothing left for social programs. If the Dems win, all they will do is fight in Congress and give in to all their demands and come up with meaningless reform. So, I think it is up to you and me to tell this government to stop the sham and get rid of the lobbiests. We are really on the same side.

The new healthcare plan is simply a STARTING POINT, to bring about much-needed healthcare reform in this country.

However, the healthcare system won't be truly good until we take the for-HUGE-profit component out of it. Let the insurance companies make their larger profits elsewhere. Heck, they already make their profits EVERYWHERE, anyway!

Reps. John Conyers (D, MI) and Dennis Kucinich (D, OH) co-authored a GREAT health care bill, HR 676, which would do just that, but my representative in Florida - Genny Brown-Waite (R, FL) - won't even consider it. Her newsletters read as though she only represents Republicans - and not those who are of the other major party, a smaller party or non-partisan. By the way, Florida is one of those states in which you have to register to vote with a party preference, or you can't even vote in the primary elections. I don't just complain, I go to someone who can do something about much-needed legislation. And if your elected officials won't help you, you need to campaign for those who will.

The most important thing we could do to make America the great country she once was would be to bring about bring about campaign finance reform. That would be an EXCELLENT starting point... It would help take the special interest groups out of the equation. If you think healthcare has been a backstabbing proposition, that might prove to be deadly by some of these right-wing extremist groups... THE POLITICAL CLIMATE IS SCARY IN THIS COUNTRY.

I have worked in healthcare for many years and had wonderful care, but am now self-employed and have paid a huge amount for my healthcare in recent years.

Like many others have mentioned in this forum, at least until recently, have used healthcare only as a reserve for a catastrophic emergency, because of the huge premiums and deductible. We pay more for our drugs, here in the USA, than in any other country I know of.

Our problem in this country is our greedy capitalistic economy, gone much too far to the 'right.' It is certainly out of kilter. Our country has laws in place to take care of these giant monopolies, the Sherman Anti-Trust legislation, but it is not being enforced.

Healthcare and medical insurance is a huge conglomerate which is sucking us all dry, even those who have been tricked into believing the right wing misinformation being bandied about by what has delightfully been called, here, the Faux-News and other extreme right-wing sources. The Republican Party has gone so far to the right, that there is only one Republican I can think of, whom I would vote for, at this point in time...

It looks as though my disabled ankle may be taken care of within 90 days, PERHAPS...

When I was under employer-assisted group coverage, I had Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) health insurance. When I became self-employed, I paid for Cobra - which was a BCBS policy. During my time on Cobra, I had a serious ankle injury in a car crash (not my fault). Well, Cobra runs out, folks, so that means, if something happens to you while you have a group policy or a Cobra policy - well, you then have a pre-existing condition if you go to another insurance policy later, and if serious enough, it will never be covered - such as my ankle. Considering the potential need of a joint replacement to this ankle, this could be financially devastating. Well, Cobra ran out, and I purchased BCBS insurance. Guess what the agent told me? "WE didn't place the screws in your ankle, so we won't pay for them if they come out." I told him that BCBS DID pay to place my screws in. Know what he said, that time? "It's not the same policy." Well, it was IMPOSSIBLE for me to keep either my group or Cobra policies, and there was nothing I could do about it. THANK YOU DEMOCRATS FOR BEING THE COMPASSIONATE PARTY!

My ankle is the reason I am now self-employed, because standing on my ankle for long periods of time - as one must do in nursing - is very painful. By the way, folks, I have disability insurance (that I was told by Unum Insurance Co. would be effective - even if I was disabled in my specific job and had to take a different job). Well, guess what? It practically took an act on congress to get them to pay for the time I was injured and had to keep my ankle elevated for several months, because I was not working because I'd moved to another state and did not yet have my nursing license in Florida.

I could go on and on, but if you are effected by 'the doughnut hole', a pre-existing condition, or some other malady, you might have a bit of hope that this legislation is at least a place in which to start on our country's healthcare crisis.

THE PROFITS OF A FEW ARE DETRIMENTAL TO MANY. Maybe a touch of this "socialism" would bring our country's "excessive capitalism to the extreme" into some balance. Schools are a socialistic entity, as are many other beneficial groups in our society. That does not make them evil...

Go to some of the other Countrys that have this plan Obama is following and you will soon learn it is not for our FREE Country. There is no other Country on this earth with health care even close to ours. When it is all said and done with this plan we will have a complete Government ran health care where the care sucks, the doctors will be the ones that graduated at the bottom of the class and a truck load of red tape before you can even have that emergence surgery. Alot of people will die form this wait and see. I have spoken to Doctors, lawyer, Economist,... Our Country was based on Freedom of choice. I want to make a choice when my child is sick and could die. My government needs to stay the hell out of it. I want my child to have the doctor thats the best. I shop cheep on most things but not doctors to save the lives of my family. I have seen first hand how our government runs health care, and is sucks, I wouldn't take my dog to a VA hospital. I fully agree on Washington being bought by wall street, as soon as Obama got in he loaded the White House with lobbyist and bankers. This is when Americans should have woke up and realized anything Obama writes up is to rip the tax payers off, and benefit wall street corporations. I agree that Washington is ran by money and we need to stop it. In truth I think a lot of this war is over money, and, terror is just a way to sell it to us all. The patriot act was sold to us through fear of the terrorist. Yet it took away so many of our rights. Now Obama took that one step further and wrote up this new one about detaining people without charging them with a crime and giving them no rights. The trouble with this is I do not see it written that this law can not be used on U.S. citizens. Now there calling tea party demonstrators terrorist on the news. I do not think we are to far from seeing that law used on people that speak out against Obamas Socialist plans. Like I said we do need to get the bankers out of Washington. I do know anyone that voted for this health care is done the next election. no matter if your republican, democrat or what it was wrong to go against what the majority of Americans wanted. It was wrong for it to be put through reconciliation. This was the act of a dictator not a President. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRdLpem-AAs I urge you all to watch this video on u tube. So why has President Obama and Congress forced you into a system destined to change your insurance? Why has President Obama OPTED OUT of ObamaCare? Why is this socialized health care program good enough for you and your children, yet not good enough for the U.S. President and his family?

Lawmakers and the President have put themselves above the law. They are telling you that socialized health care is good enough for you—so good, in fact, they are going to force it on you whether you want it or not. But Barack Obama thinks he deserves better. Obama has opted out of ObamaCare. And Mr. Obama isn’t the only one who chose to OPT OUT of this health care reform atrocity.

DEMAND EQUAL TREATMENT and Opt Out of ObamaCare! Click here to Demand Congress Write an Opt Out Amendment. They can OPT OUT, why can’t you? patientoptout.com/secure-online-donation/send-blast-faxes/

In addition to Mr. Obama, the Vice-President, cabinet secretaries, administration staff, special congressional staff members including senior staff members in the leadership offices and on congressional committees are exempt from participation in the new government-run health care “exchanges.”

Surprise! This carve-out found on page 158 of the legislation goes further to exempt senior Democrat staffers who wrote the bill from being forced to purchase health care plans in the same way as other Americans.

Yes, the very people that were responsible for writing this legislation wrote in an exemption for themselves. This is an act of treachery and betrayal by our leaders who put themselves above the people. The Democratic staff wrote a health care law so bad, they opted out of it. President Obama shoved a health care law down the throats of Americans that he refuses to participate in. That’s just WRONG.

So sad, so sad. Congress does not need a health care reform. They have the best health care plan in the nation and you know what, most of them are not in the middle or lower income bracket to take real advantage of the plan as it now stands.

Also, please take into account that this plan has many of the Republican suggestions in it. If most of us had our way, we would have had a public option and as bad as that sounds to you, even with that plan, people would have an option. Obama has said over and over that if you like your plan, keep it. If you like your Dr. keep him/her. No one is forcing you to do differently but one thing for sure, if we don't put a stop to the insurance companies gouging none of us will be able to afford any of it.

Great to hear from you. All of the back-slapping, and smiling faces and the hype must have fooled somebody. I'm with you. Who needs a health care plan that nobody can afford. I wonder if anyone cares about America anymore.

Great point. I want the same health care that our so-called leaders have. I wonder if everyone could somehow boycott insurance companies and have them choke on their profits.

I am so happy to see I am not the only one that can see through Obama care. I have been on this for a week educating on history and telling the many reasons this is so very wrong. Believe me when I tell you I HATE the cost of insurance. But I know for a fact that health insurance will not be sold anymore in this Country once this has been in effect a short time. There forcing these company's to insure everyone. Some people (the ones they refuse) will cost them millions. My wife's company says they will stop selling health insurance just before this comes into effect. She works for one of the major insurance company's. All the others will to, or go bankrupt. Another thing how can the government step into my business and tell me what I have to charge for goods or service? That is not how a capitalist society works, thats socialist. I hate insurance company's for what they charge but there are more then one so it is not a monopoly. The thing is you have to look at what it costs them. The Judges award there multimillion dollar settlements in lawsuits, that the lawyer get there paycheck from to. Lets not forget Obama is a lawyer and most of them are, so this will be hard to change. The dam pharmaceutical company' turning a 1000 percent profit on every pill you take... Obama fails to tell you that, because the largest one of all put millions into his campaign.

What happens when the insurance company's are out of the picture? Obama knows this will happen, then we will have Government ran Health Care. Who wants that? Only a fool that has not seen how the government runs everything. Look at any VA hospital, talk to your veterans see what they say. Speaking of veterans they fought for this Country, some died just so you could have a free Country. So why now do you want to hand it over to Obama to destroy and take those freedoms away. I am sorry but I know my history and Obama has came right out and said he is for socialism. Taking from us and giving it to the poor. Another words no middle class. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzkXkY5wNmg

He says it right out in this interview. So why even now when every single person in this Country that is a Citizen should want him dragged out of office. why is it he still has these dope supporting him. Do these people read history? Do they even understand why we fought the British, why we fought World War two. Wake up America please I have a young son I want him to grow up in a free Country. Now he even want to take free speech so no one can step up and speak the truth. Please get out there and do your research and see the hidden agenda of Obama. .

I am extremely concerned about hospice. I heard from my congress member that hospice care will be one of the cuts in medicare. How in the world can be keep people in their homes if there is no hospice and/or tax deductions for paid caregivers. This would save the system lots of dollar since people would not be in hospitals or nursing homes. Hospice care was a God send for me!

The bill has passed. There is a lot of good things in it. However, everyone keeps talking about those and no one is talking about where the cuts will come from Like Joyg mentioned, you better take note of where there will be less money for you to care for your parents or yourself. There will be cuts to doctors, who are already not taking new Medicare patients. Some are even closing their doors in our area. This effects me, the parent, but it will effect many more baby boomers or sandwich generation who will need to have money to care for their parents. Keep your eyes open to tweeking that will have a big inpack.

It will not take effect until 2014 and by then we will have an American in office and it will be over turned because it is Unconstitutional. From what I just heard Obama will be out of office very very soon.

I pray for this country every day. People like you need prayer. I guess you HAVE insurance. You don't care about those that do not just like the previous administration didn't care. Those in Washington had the BEST medical care possible. I guess you'd rather have people without medical insurance go to Emergency where no visit is under 300.-400. dollars. Who pays for THAT!

I do not have insurance and believe me I need it right now but if you will read my earlier posts you will understand. I want insurance for every American Citizen but this bill is just evil and will end up killing people. Please start at the beginning of this post and read all my comments and I am sure you will agree. I have researched this extensively and it is unconstitutional and very full of deception. In the bible it says things that are good are brought into the light yet things that are evil will want to stay hidden in the darkness. This bill is a perfect example of that. You could have a copy right now and you would not understand a word of it. It takes two lawyers at least two weeks of researching it just to get the basic understanding of it. The bottom line is that it is designed to put health insurance company's out of business and put health care in the complete control of the government, then limit care for terminally ill and all Seniors... It is evil, unamerican, and more along the lines of communism. I pray for your understanding and for everyone's understanding on this. Please do not let yourself be fooled. I to want health care to be affordable but not when it will kill people.

Becky This is just one of the things I to am worried about, the fact is Obama is a socialist he has said it himself when he was a senator, he was speaking of the redistribution of wealth. This Country was built on free enterprise and with him working on destroying that his administration is not looking at many important issues such as these, and the way the health care bill is written it is as if he wants to have terminally ill and seniors die off as soon as possible once there not able to pay income tax. We in this Country have always had great Respect for our elderly folks and he simply don't. Everything that he has done and Bush has been aimed at destroying the middle class. Everyone wants to say Republican or Democrat when him and Bush seem to be really close when it comes to aiming at destroying the middle class. Gas prices alone have put people out of work, and that is one thing they could lower very easily. We all need to get involved with this tea party thing and let our voice be heard. The only hope we have is to join together and communicate with one another. Put some differences aside and work to get this Country back. Obama created 16000 jobs in the IRS to enforce this health care law that will not go into effect until 2014 yet these jobs start a lot sooner. This is just one example of government waste. There are millions. I would be willing to bet that we could get rid of at least 15000 jobs in Washington and each State and it would not effect anything. Why is it Obama gets to take Air Force One all over the Country, with full staff and Secret Service just to campaign for the ones he want in Washington. It would seem to me that would be no different then me taking my company car to Disney World. Except for the price tag in doing so. He is out of control and he works for us so lets hope he is impeached very soon as they say. Lets all pray for our Country.

Cindy Here is one thing we need to do, we all need to stop voting blind. Real simple we need to have the history of the people we put into office. See just what they voted on and what the fought for and against. We need to not buy into what we see in there ad campaigns. See they hire people to take surveys and see just what most Americans want to hear. Then they make up there campaign speeches and ads based on that information. It has nothing to do with the candidates personal beliefs. Obama is a perfect example of this. I think there should be a system of accountability on the promises they make. I also think that there should be a office of funds set up that takes in money for all the people running for office and not let any corporation give large sums and gain favors such as has been done with Obama. This office would not tell where the money came from... If that person wants the position for the right reasons they should be willing to place there own money into the pot as well. Alot needs to be done and I do not see them fighting for any of these things due to the fact it will cost them... We the people need to gain back the control we have lost by letting the government become this huge evil monster.

No I do not know when the cuts would start. I do know there are 3 bills being discussed in Congress that would stop the cut or cut the amount. Maybe one of our experts at caring.com could check that out for us.

I don't think you have the right to tell any voter they made a mistake voting for Obama. Each person has a right to vote their own conscious. The elecrion is over for now. How about living with it like all the people that did NOT vote for Bush had to do for eight years!

The only President that we seem to hold accountable for campaign promises is Obama. We hardly mentioned anything Bush and the others said in their campaign speeches and many of the Republicans campaigned on what Obama is doing right now. If you believe that we should hold them accountable then you must be in agreement that this administration should have hearings on Bush and Cheney's torture treatments and for getting us into this 10 year war in Iraq without reason. Many people do want them tried. I'm not really wanting to spend time on that right now. You may not watch MSNBC but I do and they have played back Romney's speeches where he was campaigning on health reform very much like the one that was passed last week. Obama promised a lot, you're right, but he cannot do what he promised without the help of the congress. Can't you see how they are fighting everything he attempts? It's congress that we have to hold responsible. They are the ones who with the votes. Are they representing you like you planned when you voted for them? The supreme court's recent ruling allowing companies to put as much money as they like into the campaigns is certain to make elections even worse. Remember too that they are the ones who STOLE the election from Gore. When you start to placing blame try not to mis-direct it. There's enough blame to go around.
