I would check with my local Bar Association (check under your County name) and see if they offer a low-cost consultation with an attorney. You need a Disability or Elder Care attorney. There is a website for Elder Law attorneys, something like NAEL - google National Association for Elder Law Attorneys and see if there is one in Ohio, and whether they'll do a low-cost consultation. There are methods of qualifying him for Medicaid (name differs by state, but it's Federal medical coverage for qualified indigents). Speak to an EL attorney (even if Hubby is young), as they know the criteria for qualification, and whether assets can be changed to coordinate best with qualification for federal/state aid. They are also well versed in public benefits and criteria. Good luck. I'm sorry for your troubles. Sheila
