Sandy Quartuccio is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and the owner of Right at Home of North Shore Long Island. Right at Home provides non-medical care in the home and incidental transportation for seniors and the disabled to enhance their quality of life with rehabilitative or long-term care assistance. Her specialty is dementia care and her emphasis is on quality support systems.

Sandy is on the board of the Senior Umbrella Network of Nassau County, NY, and does volunteer work at the Cold Spring Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Prior to starting her own business, Sandy was director of a national marketing research company studying consumer behavioral trends. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics, and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of New Hampshire.

      Answer - Dementia can cause dizziness, particularly if it is vascular dementia, but I do not see dizziness caused by Alzheimer’s very often. Dizziness is more commonly associated with vascular dementia because blood flow to the brain is restricted.
