I just moved my Mother from a Nursing Home in Cape Cod, Ma to a Nursing Home where I live in Atlanta, Ga. I worked very hard to accomplish this task and very proud that it happened. I have lots of advice to share if anyone is in the same delima as I was. She had no one in that state except for a money hungry attorney that took her entire bank account when she became a ward of the state. We have taken legal steps for guardianship which took two years. Mom is in state 5 of dementia. We knew she was very unhappy alone but we took countless trips to Ma about every two months to visit and court hearings. You see Mom never did papers for someone to be her guardian if she ever took ill. So import ant that your parents have power of attorneys done before they get ill. Email me if you need advice Paulette
