Q
Why does shingles reappear?
Answers
A
According to the VZV Foundation, shingles can reappear but it is a rare occurrence. Shingles is more prevalent in those over 50 and with a weakened immune system or one with HIV. A recurrence of shingles can come about years after the initial shingles outbreak and may or may not be in the same location and same severity as the first outbreak.
