Why is Alzheimer's called Alzheimer's?
Why Alzheimer’s is called Alzheimer’s disease is because the brain disorder was named for German physician Alois Alzheimer, who first described it in 1906. Alzheimer’s studies a woman patient and did an autopsy on her, so the disease was named for him after he present a paper on what he found. Just like many other diseases, why Alzheimer’s is called Alzheimer’s is because of the scientist who discovered it.
