I was worried about this too—and was somewhat relieved to find that most people who get pancreatic cancer are over 65, with the average age at the time of diagnosis being 72. The American Cancer Society says that men are slightly more likely to get it than women, and black people are more likely to get it than whites, Asians, and Hispanics.
