What is the difference between Lipitor and atorvastatin?

Lipitor is the brand name drug from Pfizer which is a lipid inhibitor. It is made of Atorvastatin-Calcium. Genereic Atrovastatin is now available, typically for a lower price than brand-name Lipitor. The drugs act the same and are equally effective.
