High blood pressure is a combination of two important numberss, systolic and diastolic. Ideally the systolic should be no more than 120 and the diastolic should be no more than 80. When your numbers are over these then you are beginning to hav high blood pressure. Systolic is pressure when the heart beats by pumping blood. Diastolic is when the heart is at rest between beats.
