I found that Alzheimer’s symptoms vary greatly. This Caring.com article describes behavioral changes during the progression of the disease.

In early stages, the patient feels tired, does not seem to enjoy meeting with others and can’t sleep. I noted some of the most telling Alzheimer's symptoms are the significant loss of short term memory, including misplacing common household items, forgetting the way to the grocery store and missing appointments.

As the disease progresses, I found, my wife became quite hostile towards caregivers who were trying to help her and even forget the names of grandchildren. There are many different changes in the ways in which the Alzheimer's symptoms manifest themselves. I found, in comparing my wife with other patients, that much depends on the personality of the patient and also other aging illnesses that accompany the Alzheimer’s symptoms.
