Answers
A
Uterine fibroids are often found in women and mistaken for uterine cancer. It actually accounts for over 25 percent of the women who initially are told that they may have uterine cancer. This mistaken diagnosis is usually cleared up after a biopsy is taken. Unfortunately, since the uterus is an organ that can be removed easily without horrible side effects, it is often done on women who actually don't have cancer.
