When it comes to thyroid cancer chances of recovery are excellent. In fact, it's one of the most curable kinds of cancer. The statistics vary by source but seems like the five-year-survival rate is between 93 and 97 percent. I know follicular and papillary thyroid cancer are the easiest to cure. Medullary can be a little trickier. It's really only anaplastic thyroid cancer where chances of recovery are slim. Fortunately, this is the rarest form of the disease. Hope this information is helpful to you.
