Can an infection in my epididymis be testicular cancer?
I haven't found anything about testicular cancer epididymis, exactly.
An infection of the epididymis (called epididymitis) is different than testicular cancer, I believe, though both can cause scrotal pain. Most commonly a bacterial infection is the culprit in epididymitis, and antibiotics are prescribed. Surgery is rarely done, unless an abscess forms. Unless the infection remains untreated, normally it will clear with no long-term problems.
So, as far as I can tell, you don't have to worry about testicular cancer epididymis. Chat with your doctor for reassurance, though.
